    I think I have asked someone this and they didin't reply, but I can't specifically recall who..

    Anyway~

    Everytime I want to upload a Profile Picture to a large size it will just reduce it down to a small size. It's really frustrating since I see so many others have large profile pictures, and yet I upload a large picture size onto my profile and it just reduces it.

    I am not sure why it does this, or if I am doing something wrong.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

    I've been wondering this for awhile too. I've apparently only got a 240x180 size limit, yet I've seen other T5 supporters with larger profile pictures. :/

    I've learned to make due myself, but I'm just curious. XD

    From what I understand, the only people with large (idk the measurement) profile pictures are staff (and ex-staff if they don't change it after being demoted) and tier 6 supporters. I haven't seen any tier 5's with big profile pics though.

    Oh, uh. Adding onto what Zet said:

    You need to be a supporter that can upload images to do it. Create a background image, placing the image you want in the background image on the background, so that it fades away into another colour (aka, the colour you set as "background color"). Then upload that to your background. Next, make sure you click "swap video: yes" in your details. You don't need to have anything in the Youtube video space (because if you do, you won't get your large "profile picture") Then, iirc, set your secondary content areas to "transparent", so it doesn't overlay your background image andd... yeah. You should have it, then. Hopefully that makes sense. :D;

    You've totally confused me. D:

    It's a profile trick.

    They're not actually profile pics, but "youtube vids".
    It is just as he said. They're youtube videos made invisible by a trick. When the part where 'the youtube video' disappears using the 'trick', you can assign a background to the profile making it look like they're using bigger profile picture. Even tier 1 supporters can use this trick to make it feel like they've got a profile picture having bigger dimensions than they're allowed. There's nothing to it more than that, I believe.

    ^ this blog entry might help if you couldn't understand what nica wrote. Maybe. XD;

    Just going to clarify background image part, since Derozio didn't explain that in the blog. XD;

    Take this image of Denchura for example.
    [PokeCommunity.com] Profile Picture

    Make the background colour of that pink (imagine this is a really large image). Then, go to customise profile, go to the option where it says "Main", and upload that as the background. Then, set the background COLOUR to that same colour pink.

    Then do what Derozio said in the blog entry. :3
