what programs do people use for making charsets and chipsets?

i don't think this required a whole new thread. I personally use mspaint and paint shop pro 7. Although a lot of people recommend iDraw.

i tried idraw. thats for charsets. i now need to make chipsets

you can make chipsets with idraw. rm2k3kid made a tutorial about making chipsets and he used idraw and paint shop pro.

I just use microsoft paint. I have lots of fancy editors but they are just the same as paint, also paint is quicker!

yeah i use paint the most. but i use paint shop pro to edit pallettes so that sprites stay the same color when they are converted to .bmp

Grr... I wrote a nice big (and fun/funny) rant, and then my ISP jipped me.
In short, I said:
1. Use iDraw for anything image related, as long as you need/can handle 256 colors.
2. Convert images to XYZ format. It's easy, and makes you seem more professional. Not only that, but it saves a lot of space.
RPG Maker was designed to use them, so... Use them! ^_^
3. Hate Alex and Zack like the default hero RTP scum they are.
