In a world where you are not the chosen one, would you still help out the ones that are?
Project: CMYK is a fangame made in the Unity engine that explores the idea of an area that's all entirely full of regional Pokemon, as well as a story that does not completely revolve around you.
You start off as one of the sibling trio, Alice, Allen, or Alfie, who are cordially invited (along with your parents) to partake in an adventure in an artificially made Pokemon Reserve- dubbed CMYK, by the CMYK Corporation. The Pokemon Reserve mentioned is a collection of islands full of familiar Pokemon of different varieties, canonically called "regionals".
Spoiler:
Final: Regional Diglett and Dugtrio
Final: Regional Gossifleur and Eldegoss
Concept Sketches: Regional Meowth
In CMYK, you will get to experience a special kind of quests system, one that pursues the linear story and one that sets you off on more adventures, not officially completing the story- but will set off a butterfly effect. Will you ignore the story completely to explore the world, or will you try and listen to the young man's demands?
Only you can tell.
Planned Features
- A world full of only regional Pokemon from all generations
- A completely different combat system, with hints to Pokemon Conquest and PMD
- A linear story in a non linear world
- A choice-driven story game

Spoiler:
Story The overall story skeleton has been established and will be put into the drive. All that's left is to flesh it up with the needed quests and detailed flow to each island. Characters and some key personalities have also been established, along with their importance to the story itself.
Art and Sprites Concept art and designs are currently being done for both Pokemon and Characters (Pokemon priorities being in Cyan). Around less than half of the core characters have been designed, with more than half still in progress. Pokemon regional variants need to be designed (and thought about). There are currently no problems with sprites as they are being created once after concepts have been finalized.
Maps and Tiles The general layouts (and overall aesthetics) have been structured. There needs to be more structuring on the layouts in order to properly fit to the game logic. Maps still need to be designed and created via Tiled. Tile creation and edits is still going on to fit the needed aesthetic of CMYK.
Programming Mechanics and database models have been plotted out and continue to be in constant discussion on refinement. Simulations have also been drafted out on how it would work. The game development itself is currently in the prototyping stage with priority on Combat (Movement DONE, UI ongoing), then the Overworld (ongoing).
Music Some music has been created for the game but still not enough for the demo. This is currently being done only by one person. Music needs to be spearheaded by someone more knowledgeable and creative enough to fit the various genres needed in each island.

Recruiting
- Concept Artists - Pokemon / Character
- Balancers - Will work only with Stats and Learnsets
- Composers - Overworlds only
- Mappers - Will work in Tiled
- Tile Artists (Gen 4 Style)
This is aimed to be a slow, steady project (a.k.a do not expect anything substantial in the next months) as it is done in the Unity Engine and we are relatively chill about it. A demo is not planned out in the upcoming future as the goal is to properly prototype the game. However, I am looking for long term volunteers who are patient enough to see through the game as it goes.
If you're interested in helping out, feel free to shoot me a DM here or on Discord (Kitty#5494) :)
