Project: My own Region

    I am working on my own region for use in several different things (Fan Fictions, Fan games, roleplay, etc.) But i need help with the gyms. I chose not to follow the traditional Type based gyms and focus on other elements. For instance.. The first gym leader is Macey, she only uses baby pokemon (Pichu, Cleffa, etc.) Now what im asking is for a couple people to help me with the Idea's. You will be credited. So far I have Macey, And a girl who only uses pokemon she deems "Beautiful". Haven't decided on her name yet. Thanks.

    Perhaps try a theme of Pokemon that are exactly the same size, like 5'11" or something. Attribute it to the leader's size, lol.
     
    I don't know about that but you gave me a Idea, A gym that only uses large pokemon (Slaking, Wailord, etc)
     
    There's also footprint and body types, if you look at Pokedex entries.
     
    That is true.. Hm.. Im just trying to think but i doubt i will find a more obvious one than baby pokemon.
     
    You also have to worry about the dilemma of TM's, badge names and such.
     
    The Badge for the first gym is im deciding between Kindergarden Badge or Egg Badge.
     
    Perhaps a rainbow, color-based gym of some sort? Like having the gym leader use one Pokemon of each color of the rainbow. It's just an idle thought.
     
    Maybe one that uses only very rare/very common pokemon?
    One that only uses a specific level?
    One that only uses pokemon of a certain gender?
    One that only uses pokemon of a certain color?
    One that only uses pokemon that have a special trait? (Slowking can talk, for example)
    One that only uses pokemon that can learn multipal HMs?
    One that are only found in different regions?
    One that only uses pokemon holding items?
    One that uses pokemon only in a certain type of ball?
    One that only uses pokemon of a three stage evolving family?
    Only that only uses pokemon with a single stage?
    One that only uses pokemon found underwater?
    One that only uses pokemon of a certain size?
    One that only uses pokemon with a certain amount of brains? (Dragonite are as smart as humans, and Alakazam's IQ is 5000, for example)
