Ok This is for all you Poké fans out there with a bit of artistic talent, lets be honest, gamefreak have had a bit of a lack of imagination when it came to shiny pokemon in some cases.
So the idea of this thread is, how would you of created the shiny version of your favorite Pokémon or was there a really annoying shiny you just thought.....WTF?

Nows your chance to show us your imaginative side! basically, using the sprites for seribii.net or any other pokemon site (so long as they look like the sprites in game) using your preferred method of editing, re-color your own pokémon to look like how you'd want them to look if you had your way.

I'll be updating this thread as and when i create some new alternatives, i'll show the original and then my designs. some you might like, some you may not but they all can be used for whatever purpose you wish :).

    Starting with this chap:

    Kyogre:

    Oh! This sounds fun!

Here's a link to the Smogon XY Sprite Project, where even the 6th gen Pokemon were made (beautifully, might I add) into sprites! So that way you guys can work on every generation of Pokemon if you'd like. :)

I'd love to see a few more of these, to really get a grasp of what you like to do, and what you like to work with ^^ But you seem to have a very good grasp of how to use colours to invent something new, whilst keeping to the Pokémon style. Absol and Beedril especially look like they've just come out of the games!

When i get a bit more time, i'll do some more, i was just choosing pokemon at random i know have lame shiny versions. Yeah i was pleased with my Absol, i really wished they would have darkened the head not made it lighter in the official shiny. With Beedrill i took inspiration from Danger signage (you know the red and yellow stripes you get on the back of highway maintenance and warning signs?) because beedrill when angry should turn red and yellow as a warning, i recolored the eyes to yellow because they looked pretty cool, and i went for black lances as a kind of color swap, but i'm not sure if i overdid it or not.

I really like the darker blue Kyogre with the lighter blue markings, sometimes just subtle changes make a big difference.

Aw man! Leafeon, please! I was so sad they didn't take the opportunity to make the shiny all autumn colored!

I've added my version of Leafeon to the top list, hope you like the shiny Autumn version :)

Gah! Its so cute! It looks great! The only thing I could even come close to crit is maybe darker reddish for the ears/tail. Either way, it looks great!

I did try a darker red, but it looked odd, i used orangey browns and pinky reds that where direct color swaps like for like, i only really went a bit different for the quiff, breast tuft and feet. Really glad you like it, took me a while to do as it had so many different colors, i was forever color picking, swapping and then painting it. ahahaha you couldn't of picked a more difficult one to go for, but i'm pleased with the result. :)
