Proper Pronounciation?

I've been wondering, whats the proper pronounciation for Ifrit.
I call it EE-Frit

In FF12, they pronounced it "ih - FREET," I think.

There's really no proper pronunciation, but rather how you interpret it to be pronounced. The difference in regional dialects is so vast, to say any pronunciation to be incorrect is incorrect itself. Unless you are pronouncing something completely different, like calling it "ear-fit" (moving the R in front of the F).

Personally, all my friends and I pronounce it "IH-frit".

It really depends where you're from. I pronounce it as ih-freet though

I also pronounce it as ih-freet since that's how they pronounce it in most series with an Ifrit and voiced dialogue.

I grew up learning it as "Ih-frit" as well. The way they say it in FF12 sounds way too dramatic to my ears. That's just how I was raised, though.
