Ok so basically for my DT project I have to make a storage system for anything. I decided to do mine for ps3. So basically so far its pretty much a box where i place my ps3 and controllers. I am going to fit in a USB cooling fan and LED lights aroung it to make it look nicer. Was just wondering if anybody had any cool ideas they thought I could do?

It is batter to select a box with small radiator with water cooling technology.
He's putting a PS3 in a box, now why the hell would he need water-cooling?

As for the actual project, how exactly are you going to run the fans and lights off USB power? Normal computer case fans run off 12V, whereas USB is only 5V. I'm not trying to be rude, I just want you to think through the electronics before you go piggybacking them off a PS3.

well the fan is meant for the ps3 so Ill just plug it into the ps3 socket. And tbh I hadnt really though of powering LED's the teacher said it shouldnt be too hard.

What sort of fan is this? Are you attaching it to the PS3 or the box, because I'm a little lost as to what you intend to do. The leds depend on what you are doing. You may also want to consider a small cathode light that you could run off a the wall power.

Little fans produce more noise for the same amount of airflow, when compared to bigger fans. I'd be far more inclined to butcher a cheaper laptop cooling pad - one with about 3 80mm fans would be ideal. Led-lit fans will also allow you to light up the case without additional lights; you won't need to screw with powering LEDS or cathodes(which actually produce a little heat, despite being called cold cathodes).
