6th Gen PSS Gender help.

    How does the pss work with gender? For example, if I choose May as my character, will my pss profile also be female? My friend says that his character is a female but his pss shows up as male with a male icon. So does is the PSS Network's gender based on what gender you choose in game or is it based on your 3DS Profile?
     
    In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, you can pick whichever character icon you have in the PSS, no matter which gender you picked in the beginning of the game.
     
    Is that actually true? I checked for myself and I chose the male character and all of my public icon choices are male trainer classes ranging from hiker to camper.

    I thought so too.
