Pun of an ability in here somewhere...

So, I was watching the XY Anime again (I haven't watched it for, like, ever) and randomly thought of something (that seems insanely freaking stupid now that I actually say it) but am I the only one who ever thought that Serena's mother was named Grace for a reason?
Serena/Grace --> Serena Grace ---> Serene Grace

Am I the only one who noticed this? :P

I didn't know the name of Serena's mom, so I didn't notice it. I'm not to surprised though. Pokemon has been pretty big on using puns throughout the anime, names of characters, and episode titles. Ash Ketchum (cause he's gotta catch 'em all, a pun I guess) made a lot of jokes and puns in the first season. The Indigo League is my favorite season because of how many puns they use.

How funny this got pointed out only just now. It is really cool though.

Maybe it is intended on the English localization, or might be a sweet coincidence. But Grace is known as Saki in the original Japanese version while Serena's technically the same name but pronounced slightly different. :)
