3rd Gen Purple challenge for myself.

    I've beaten my FireRed game many times so I decided to challenge myself.

    I will beat the entire game using only Purple colored pokemon.

    My Final Team will be(hopefully):
    -Gengar
    -Starmie
    -Cloyster
    -Nidoking
    -Weezing
    -Aerodactyl

    Wish me luck! You can join along with me if you'd like :)
     
    I like my blue team, even though they are mostly Water, and also my Nidoking.

    did it once.
     
    What happens if one of your purple pokemon you are useing evolves into a none purple pokemon? lol

    Well...they're all fully evolved, so...yeah.

    Interesting idea, though it's a little iffy on the dactyl being considered "purple" just because of its wings =p
     
    Good luck on your 'purple' based team in FireRed, but I would definitely just go with three Pokemon - Nido (king / queen), Gengar, and Starmie. That way you not only get the higher levels, but also an extremely good variety in Pokemon; espeically when facing weaker Pokemon.

    Haha, well, I'm using this wiki for the colors: lol, cant post links yet... but its bulbapedia.net/listofpokemoncolors or something.

    It declares Aerodactyl as a purple pokemon.

    First update!

    Named chararter Purple.
    Named rival Rainbow(had to be gayer lol)
    Beat him with my Bulbasaur(HM Whore)
    Caught a Rattata which I grinded to level 13 for hyper fang.
    Beat rival again :)
    Went through Viridian Forest which got Rattata to lvl 15.
    Beat Brock (2 tail whips and 2 hyper fangs for Onix, easier than I expected)
    Caught Nidoran(male)
    Trained it through Mt. Moon where it evolved into a Nidorino
    Beat Rival once again (Nidorino died though, so I had to finish off charmander with rattata)
    Beat nugget bridge.

    Current Team:

    Nidorino (lvl 24):
    -Poison Sting
    -Peck
    -Horn Attack
    -Double Kick

    Rattata (lvl 18):
    -Tackle
    -Tail Whip
    -Quick Attack
    -Hyper Fang

    Badges: 1

    I will probably need help with move sets since I'm pretty new to strategic gaming, normally I just powerhouse through it haha.

    So constructive criticism is appreciated.

    Seems like an interesting idea, I've never thought of this before. If I were going to try it I think I'd go for a blue team, since most of my favourites are blue.

    You should do it then, it's pretty fun. I was thinking about doing blue, I will probably do Blue on R/S/E after this.
     
    Purple ! I like that color, for sure! :) Rooting for yah! And teach Nidoking and Aerodacyl some element moves! :) ---P.S---
     
    Just make sure you don't catch any shinies.

    Also use Crobat instead of Weezing.
     
    I'd like to do this with red. Hmm... but, really, how many red Pokemon are there?

    Technically I'm already doing it with blue. Since all my Pokemon are blue and I don't intend on changing them. But that's just because I'm doing a water monotype challenge and just happened to catch all blue water Pokemon. xD
