Question about a Card

    Well, this card is from Team Magma vs Team Aqua Collection but....
    the number of the card is 96 :/ in this collection there is only 95 cards, and i read somewhere that i can't take it form booster decks.. if anyone know where can i fiNd this card please let me know!!!

    Is it true that i can't find this card inside booster deCks?!

    There are several sets that contain cards that are numbered over the number of cards in the set.
    These are called "secret rare" cards, if I'm not mistaken. You can find them in booster packs on rare occasions.
     
    Yes, they are called Secret Rare cards.
    They are EXTREMELY Rare, as displayed by the greater number.
    Such cards exist in packs from Stormfront on, such as the Charmander Evo line reprints. There was also a Mysterious Treasures card featuring Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf that was this type of card.
    I didn't know that they came in any other pack besides the new series packs.
     
    These kind of cards were first introduced in the Team Rocket set (Dark Raichu), followed by the Neo Revelation set (Shining Gyarados and Shining Magikarp).
    After that, Ultra Rare cards (three stars) took the place of Secret Rares, but only in 1 set (Neo Destiny). Then they reverted to Secret Rare again.
     
    I had a dark Raichu.

    I never knew that was an extremely rare card. If I had, I would've kept it. But, I think I gave it to my friend like years ago. o_o
     
    This particular Absol card only came as a 'boxtopper'. They're called boxtoppers because when you open a sealed box of 36 packs, that card was on top of the packs. Nintendo did this from Team Magma vs. Team Aqua until Delta Species, each set with a different card.

    Also noteworthy is that there is a Jirachi in this set that can be found in packs, and is numbered 97/95 I believe.
     
    Secret rares are fun! I love the new remake cards, the first 3 packs of platinum I got had the remake Scyther, the remake Electabuzz, and Giratina lv. X. I've never been so excited opening so little packs XD
