Question about cloning

    Is it illegal if the person who isn't the one cloning ask the other person that they're trading with to clone their pokemon for them?

    Ex: If I want to trade a Dragonite for someone's Electivire, but I only have one copy of that Dragonite and I can't clone, is it legal if I ask them to trade my Dragonite for their Electivire and let them clone my Dragonite and trade it back for a bad pokemon (Level 1 Wurmple)?

    Because I read on the rules it said just Cloning Services were illegal and I wanted to double check.
     
    That is fine, you can negotiate cloning via PM, just not ask on the trade boards. Why? Because ultimately, Pokecommunity is not responsible for managing your Pokemon. You are.

    In the event that someone scams you, we may not be able to provide tissues and recover your stolen Pokemon. However, we can probably kick the scammer. So, just be careful. :<
