Question about Deoxys

I have a Delta Species Deoxys (normal form) from Holon Phantoms. It has an attack called Crystal laser that does 20 damage and says:

'During your next turn, Deoxys's attacks do 40 more damage to the defending pokemon (before applying weakness and resistance).'

So, my question is, would it keep doing 40 more damage each time if I keep using that attack (ex: 1st turn, 20 damage. 2nd turn, 60 damage. 3rd, 100. 4th, 140, and so on)?

I also have the card... I don't think it would be 20, 60, 100, 140.... It may be though... as long as your opponent still has the same Pokemon he or she had out when you used the attack. I would think that it did 20, 60, 20, 60 and so on.... but now that I read the card, it may actually do 20, 60, 100, 140 as long as your opponent has the same Active Pokemon. If he or she were to retreat it, or if it gets knocked out, the attack goes back to 20...
    Again, I'm not sure ^^'

No. Keep using it and it'd be 20, 60, 60, 60 etc. because its base attack is always 20.

I think it would stay at 60. Though I'm honestly not certain about that. I think when it refers to the Defending Pokémon it doesn't necessarily have to be the same one, so I'l assume 60.

It would go back to 20 when I K.O. the pokemon, right?

Nope. Here are the official rulings for HP Deoxys (normal) from Pokegyms Compendium ex.

    Q. Say you use Deoxys' "Crystal Laser" attack, and then use "Form Change" for a different Deoxys on the next turn. Would the new Deoxys' attack still add the +40 damage from the previous "Crystal Laser"?
    A. "Form Change" dictates that effects on Deoxys transfer to the new Deoxys, so the added damage will apply to the new Deoxys' attack. (EX:Holon Phantoms FAQ; Jun 22, 2006 PUI Rules Team)

    Q. For Deoxys' "Crystal Laser" attack that says, "during your next turn, Deoxys's attacks do 40 more damage to the Defending Pokemon", does that effect reside on Deoxys or on the Defending Pokemon? For example, what happens if I bench one or the other?
    A. Crystal Laser's effect resides on Deoxys, so if the Defending Pokemon is benched, evolved, etc. the effect remains; but if Deoxys is benched the effect goes away. And keep in mind that if Deoxys' attack does any damage to the bench, you do NOT get to add +40 more to the bench damage. (Aug 3, 2006 PUI Rules Team)

So it will do 20, 60, 60 etc unless you Form Change Deoxys or bench Deoxys.

    Hope that helps ;)

Wow, okay, so if I get HP Doexys Delta Species Attack form then I could switch to that after using crystal laser and use it's attack which has a base of 60 so it'd do 100. But then it'd go back to 60, or 20 if I switched back to normal form.

    Thanks.

You can use Form Change and still get the 40 damage bonus on the new Deoxys. Also the "defending Pokemon" doesn't have to be the same one...

For the damage, it does 20, 60, 60 etc. provided you don't bench Deoxys and the defending Pokemon doesn't use an attack/power/body that voids additional effects of your attacks.

    Hope that helps...
