    Hello folks,
My son has some Pokemon cards that he was going through recently. I know nothing about them, but I am looking for some info about a particular card for him. He has a card dated 2010 and numbered 52/123. It depicts Slowbro and everything on the card refers to Slowbro except the name and HP at the top. The name at the top is Kabutops and the HP is 130. We are wondering if this is a common or unusual error. We found no info on this mix-up on the net or on Ebay. Any info you can provide would be most appreciated.
    Thanks again...Jeff

From what you've described, it does sound like a fake, not an error. Here's the actual Slowbro card it's probably a knock-off of for reference:

There is no Kabutops card in that set, so I highly doubt it was an error of any sort. Errors are usually caused by the master copy of the card for a print run having an error.

Thanks for the info. I think you are correct after reading another post that you responded to about another fake. The symbols on the fake Empoleon card in that post are the same as on my son's card.

I have the same card. It seems thicker than normal cards and the health is off by 40, otherwise it looks exactly like its counterpart. Try putting the card up to the light if you can see through it, if I am not mistaken, it is a fake.

This already was solved and is over a year old. Please do not revive threads older than 30 days.
