4th Gen [Question]Will Sword Dance boost an attack that is maxed?

    i have an EV trained pokemon with adamant nature that has MAX att.
    if ill use Sword dance will it boost it?
     
    Yes. EVs and stat boosts in battle are two completely different things.
     
    So 252 in ATTACK Adamnt nature fully trained MAXED Attack if i use sword dance it will still go up? wow thanks
     
    Yes, but only for the battle. When it switches out (without baton pass) or the battle is ended, the attack stat will go back to what it was before. That goes for any other move that boosts a stat (Agility, Calm Mind, Nasty Plot, etc.)
