Quick Question and Answer Thread / Breeding Questions

First off, I want to say that this thread is a good place to ask if you want more help with movesets or your team.

If you're going to use Earthquake and Flamethrower on Typholosion, then the Choice Scarf Starter looks like a good set:
Typhlosion @ Choice Scarf
Mild/Rash (+ sp. atk - def/sp. def)
Blaze
252 sp. atk/144 atk/112 speed
~Eruption
~Focus Punch
~Overheat/Will-O-Wisp
~Earthquake
For this set, there are better moves that can be used than Flamethrower, so it is not on this set.

As for Tyraniboah, here is its set.:
Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Quiet/Brave (+ sp.atk/atk - speed)
Sand Stream
252 HP/52 atk/176 sp. atk/28 speed
~Substitute
~Focus Punch
~Dark Pulse/Crunch
~Ice Beam/Flamethrower/Thunderbolt

With the Tyranitar moveset you provided, Brave looks like a good option.

MMMM, copying pasta. Yum.

Anyways, if you're not sure what nature to use, then chances are don't know much about competitive battling. I highly suggest checking the stickies and the compiled guides before making any big decisions so you don't get slaughtered on Wi-Fi.

In addition to this, you can use smogon to help you find a team. After that, you can go to the Pokémon Strageties and Movesets section and post your team there to have people help you on it. Make sure to follow the rules there, as there are a specific way to post your team there. Take notice that the thread will not appear there until a moderator of that section approves it. That way, people will help you on the right natures, EV's and all of the competitive battling system things you need for your team.

Depends. Using the Masuda Method, it's 1/2048. The Masuda Method requires having a Pokémon from a foreign game and one that is not from a foreign game breed.
Normally though, it's the same as the chance of seeing any other shiny Pokémon. 1/8192

Hey everyone. Sorry if this isn't the right board. ^_^;; Anyways, I'm just wondering something. Say I add someone to my Pal Pad. Do they need to add me as well before I can see them in the WiFi Club? Thanks in advance!!

Just wondering here since I have been hearing many answers to this.
After you first beat the E4, do they get stronger? If so, by how much, and by what intervals? (ie: Beating them 2x, 10x, 20x, etc).

Thanks in advance.

In Diamond and Pearl the Elite Four stays the same levels. However, in Platinum their levels raise to a higher amount after you obtain the National Dex in the game. They only raise in level once [by this I mean they do not only grow one level, but after you battle them your second time their level is higher, but after that it does not continue to grow].

This question still needs an answer.
No other games but Pt have this issue (as far as I'm aware). I enjoy battling my friend locally with teams full of shinies. Mix and standard battles work fine. Yesterday, we decided to do a Double battle so I could test my Cherrim in a more-friendly environment. My opponent sent out two shinies, and it came up with one of those blue error screens. Next thing I knew, I was looking at the lady two down from Teala. We retried several times, switching up our teams and order, but we got nada. Every attempt, after the shiny sparkles from my opponents' pokemon went, it cut off. Mine never came out regardless what side of the room I was on. What's wrong here?

Where can I find documentation for what all of the different rules types are when you go to the Coliseum?

Hey everyone. ^_^ Just wondering, how does the underground work in relation to WiFi? Like if someone on your pal pad is down there and you are down there, do you automatically see each other?

The Underground is based on the Wireless Link-Up. Wi-Fi does not have a thing to do with it either. Basically you and your friends can meet up if they are within your area and no less than 30 feet away. Long Distance people who are underground the same time you are, will not be able to see you or vice versa.
