How Pokémon is used is completely up to you ;)
But as was mentioned, it depends on Pokémon stats.
Lemme give you some examples.

Name: HP - Att - Def - Sp.At - Sp.Def - Spd
Lucario 70 - 110 - 70 - 115 - 70 - 90
As you can see, Lucario's dominating stats are attacking stats so it's offensive Pokémon. Since there's no big difference between his Attack and Special Attack, he can either be physical sweeper, special sweeper or mixed sweeper.

Espeon 65 - 65 - 60 - 130 - 95 - 110
Espeon's main trait is Special Attack so it goes as Special sweeper.

Umbreon 95 - 65 - 110 - 60 - 130 - 65
Umbreon's main force lies in both defense stats so it's primarily used as wall.

Etc... =)
Base stats are the most important in deciding what Pokémon is used for.
But some Pokémon can be used differently depending on Pokémon's nature.
 
There are medals you get for opening a certain number of shops in the join avenue. 10, 20 and 50 (I think).
I got 20 and I'm probably on my 30-40... I just wanted to make sure how many shops I've opened up until now so that I don't waste any visitors.
Any way to know how many shops we've opened until now? Any help would be appreciated :)
 
Hey guys, is it possible to enter the subway challenge with a friend directly? We want to take the Multi train so we can get on the same team. I never tried online connections in any Pokemon game so this is my first time....

I go to the Multi train, tell the dude I want to communicate with a friend in this challenge, and then choose my Pokemon and etc...

Just wanting to know, should my friend be registered in my Pal Pad?
And will the game use Nintendo WFC connection to set us up?
We are not in the same network....

BTW, could such thing work in the PWT? Because that would be awesome :D
 
I have a question related to the GTS.
Does anyone know why I can only do negotiations and not the usual GTS? Everytime I try to go into the normal GTS I get an error message. :s Something along the lines of "You have been disconnected. Please turn off your power." :x Strangely enough, GTS Negotiations works perfectly fine. Ive tried googling it but nothing. Has anyone else experienced anything similar or/and could help me? Thanks. :)

edit: The EXACT message is: "Communication error.
Please turn off the power."

No error codes or anything. :\

I have a WEIRD issue with my Pokémon Black 2 game!!! I am encountering National Pokémon early in the game!!! Pokémon like Sunkern!!! can someone tell me what is going on???

That's normal. The Unova Dex has been expanded to contain 300 pokemon.

Don't understand why you're panicking, this is awesome.

which 300??? is there a list somewhere??? I was panicking because this game was purchased online and I thought I was scammed...

Gamestop Keldeo is the only English Keldeo released, with Keldeos in other languages released at stores similar to Gamestop. So technically, yes, since it's the only Keldeo event.

Can someone tell me how you unlock the Unova Link (and also the Memory Link) and when you unlock it?
I want to catch N's Pokemon :) Thank you !

The Memory Link can be activated by going to the Unova Link at the Main Menu and entering the Game Sync ID of the game you want to sync with. (Meaning your Black or White save file) I believe the Unova Link was always accessible from the Main Menu even if you hadn't started a game yet, but I'm not sure.

Yes, the Unova Link is accessible from the Main Menu even if you hadn't started the game yet.
 
Female Eevee?

I keep trying to find a way to catch a female Eevee, I have been Eevee farming for a long time now and have never come across one! Whenever I try to find one in the GTS they want a Pokemon I dont have for it. Don't get me wrong I might be willing to trade for it when I get further in the game and have a Pokemon I'm willing to give up for it, but I want to find it on my own preferably.

Has anyone actually caught a female Eevee before? Is it possible to go onto the old games (like pokemon blue) and trade off the Eevee there into my White 2 hoping its a female Eevee? Please tell me your success stories on obtaining a female Eevee!

Eevee has a 12.5% chance of being female in any instance (wild encounter, breeding, and gifts). I got lucky. My Vaporeon was female (caught in Castelia). My Umbreon, Espeon, Leafeon, and Glaceon are all female as well. Of course, I got them from my White save, which has a bunch of Eevees on it.

Female Eevee are pretty hard to find, seeing as you only have a 12.5% chance of finding one. Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer Pokémon from any generation before fourth. If you want to try trading, I suggest the GTS! If I were you, though, I'd offer a Pokémon instead and put a female Eevee in the "wanted" selection. It might be a bit hard to search for one yourself in the GTS as people tend to put up ridiculous offers (e.g. You receive a female Eevee only if you were to trade them a Zekrom Level 9 or under). If you are going to offer a Pokémon, though, make sure it's one that sounds reasonable enough for an Eevee or else you probably won't find anyone that will accept your offer.
 
I don't see anywhere else to post this, really. This question might sound stupid to some, but has the Pokemon company announced any hints about where the game series will be going from here on? I've yet to buy Pokemon Black 2 but yeah ... just wanted to know.
