Suggestion: Quote Notifictions?

    Not sure if this has been suggested before, or currently but;

    Is it possible to add quote notifications, so if someone quotes us we get a notice about it as if it were a VM or a Liked Comment.

    I've seen this done on PHO which I think uses the same style of forums, and it's quite the handy thing.

    So, you post on a discussion board and yet wish to avoid continuing discussions with those whom reply to you? Yes, there should be an option for notifications, but I'm confused as to the basis for the functionality as a whole being unnecessary when the only alternative is to keep tens of browser tabs open.

    It's hardly Unnecessary, it would help greatly with keeping up with discussions.
    I've just gone through 7 old threads I've read and realized I've missed out on a decent discussion due to not knowing I've been responded too.

    I would appreciate this too. I hate missing out on conversations

    Btw when they say that its "In the works." They really mean "We want to do this, but It probably won't get done."

    I hope this comes soon. My username is too short, so I can't search my username to see if anyone replied to one of my posts.
     
    This is something that I've thought for a while, actually. I think this'll be a useful feature for people who rarely come back to threads that they've posted in. (a.k.a. myself)
