All right, so I've been doing a few challenges lately, and I want to try doing a Monospecies challenge on the Advance generation games Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. You can choose to play on any one of them. There are double battles in the Advance Generation, so feel free to use your HM slaves in battle, but try not to level them up. Cheating is at your own discretion, but it kind of makes the game boring for you and makes you feel dishonest. :\

Rules:
- This is not a race.
- You may play on an emulator, or a Gameboy Advance/Nintendo Console.
- You can trade anything from other games, just as long as you follow the rules of this challenge with whatever you've traded.
- You can only use one Pokemon: any of the Pokemon that can be caught before Dewford Town (including Granite Cave). You can catch multiple Pokemon of your species and use them, however (like you can have 3 Raltses if you choose Ralts).
- HM Slaves are allowed. Do your best not to train them. If they reach a certain level where it seems like you can use them for battling, release or deposit them.
- You can catch Pokemon to fill your Pokedex, but these cannot be trained under any circumstances.
- You may use your starter as much as you like until you catch your chosen Pokemon. After that, your starter can either turn into an HM Slave, or a dust-collecting Pokemon in your PC.
- One person per species.
- You can still use your chosen Pokemon if it evolves.
- No third-party cheating devices such as GameShark or ActionReplay.
- Your challenge ends (in Ruby & Sapphire) when you beat the Elite Four.
- Your challenge ends (in Emerald) when you beat Steven in Meteor Falls.
- You're free to continue your game after you complete the challenge, but don't post updates, as they're useless and will be considered as SPAM.

Mudkips can learn 4 HMs. It's a good slave.

Huh, that is 5. I must have been looking at Generation IV mudkip by accident (hence dive not being listed). Also, it's not really longer, you just have to beat Steven after the elite four.

1. Because Mudkip can learn 5 HMs.

No, it's just a bit tougher. Steven has high leveled Pokemon in Meteor Falls.

Day One

Started on Emerald, boring start stuff, Mudkip is my starter... Anyway it took me most of the day just capturing and raising Wurmples until I had one Cascoon and one Silcoon, I had gotten 13 Silcoon before a Cascoon came about.

Passed through Petalburg until I got to the forest, where I raised them both up to level 10, and then backtracked to Petalberg to save.
