3rd Gen R/S/E Monotype Challenge!

Part the Fourth :: In Which Some Progress Is Made
In this episode, Morgan...
...cleared the Weather Institute.
...defeated Brendan/Merlin on Route 119.
...received the Devon Scope from Steven on Route 120.
...battled Winona of Fortree City.
I OHKOed her Swellow with Lancelot (on the second try it got in a few Double Teams before I could), but then she sent out Altaria. It knew Earthquake. Not good. Birds are fast; steel is not. Also not good. That Altaria used Earthquake like Wattson's Megneton used Spark Wave. I finally defeated it by sending Arthur out and using Iron Defense several times to that he could withstand more than two Earthquakes, healed him, and then took out Altaria with two Iron Tails. Lancelot OHKOed her Pelipper (electric attacks having a 4x advantage over Water/Flying) and Skarmory.

...obtained the Feather Badge.
...taught Page how to Fly.
...traveled Routes 120 and 121 to arrive in Lilycove City.
...defeated Merlin again outside of the Lilycove Department Store.
...cleared the Magma Hideout.
...battled Tate and Liza of Mossdeep City.
Accidentally started with Lancelot and Galahad in first, which isn't all bad except that Galahad is currently my weakest. I started by paralyzing both of them, but their Solrock OHKOed Lancelot directly afterward. I sent out Arthur in his place and used Iron Tail, but it missed twice. Galahad lowered both of their accuracies with Sand-Attack and somehow managed to survive a Flamethrower from their Solrock. Iron Tail finally hit, only to have Tate and Liza use a Hyper Potion on it. The same thing happened again, but Arthur finally managed to take it out. Their Lunatone had been raising its Special Attack and Special Defense with Calm Mind, but it was quickly defeated anyway. Galahad actually stayed in and alive the entire battle. This one only took two tries.

hay every1 its been hard for me

i still cant beat the gym, i keep runing out of pp for Quick Attack. (LOL you suck Zan LOL)
and just been traning on lv 6-8 wild pokemon.

Part One


  • I name my character Ruby (Male), get out of the truck, and doing the boring start shenanigans, before finally choosing Torchic as my character.
  • I train Torchic to level 10 and defeat May with ease.
  • Head through route 102, clearing all trainers on the way.
  • Reach Petalburg, do stuff with Wally. Strangely, tackle missed twice and he caught it at full health.
  • Skipped trainers, went into forest and caught Shroomish.
  • Back-tracked and defeated the trainers of route 104.
  • Start training in forest.
  • Torchic evolves.

  • GOT A BRAND NEW MISTAREE EGGEH
Chapter 4: Part 3: Stormin Norman
  • Went back to Slateport and took the Dewford Route to Petalburg
  • Lost to a damn Swellow
  • SUMMER beat all trainers with Mach Punch
  • Beat Norman though SUMMER fainted, Grovyles Leaf Blade won it.
  • Got Surf Off Some Guy.
Chapter 4: Part 4 : Can It Be More Rainy?



  • Surfed Over From Mauville To The Rainy Route
  • Battled Most Trainers
  • Found The Much Needed Leafstone ( For CALIFORNIA soon )
  • Caught Myself A Very Good Leveled Oddish which I forgot to nickname...... MUST .... FIND... NAME...RATER!!
  • Caught A Linoone, HM SLAVE NEW ONE NOW
  • Done Weather Institute Crap. Got Castform, BOXED

Most Of My Team Is Underleveled As Raising 4 Pokemon At Once Is Brand New To Me ( I Usually Go With 2 Main Pokemon [ Starter + Flying Usually ] And Some Weaker Random Caught Pokemon )
 
Aww, When is it going to be updated? lol I joined 4 days ago and still not even on the list o_o, Anyways.

I'll be doing a Flying Challenge next, alot more available at the start then Water atm >_<.
No real progress so far, I'm kinda taking little turns on my two Challenges, currently doing a Mono-type Duo Ground challenge on my Diamond, and then this Mono-type Water on my Ruby, So I just got to my 4th badge on Diamond, so next ima do some more on Ruby.
Also when is this thread going to be updated o_O, Its been almost a week now :O.

I did not update because everytime once I finish play, I will ended up doing something else. So here it is.
 
Chapter 11: Who is Juan?!

I played R/S a while ago, but I totally forgot how to do the last tile puzzle
After falling from that huge height and wondering why I fell down unharmed, I battled and beat every trainer hiding under the Gym
After five minutes, I got to Juan and the battle commenced!
- Luvdisc was totally easy, one Thunderbolt from Ghost and it was gone
-Crawdaunt got Criticaled so he was out in one Thunderbolt
-Whiscash scared me, but two Shadow Balls from Sableye and it was gone
-Sealeo was annoying, he killed Shadow (I HATE Hyper Potions!) but Sableye finished it off with a Shadow Ball
-Lastly Kingdra, the worst of them all. It continuously spammed Double Team and Rest until it wasn't funny anymore. I had to kill it in its sleep before it would wake up and Rest again! Luckily, I had Faint Attack (but it didn't do much damage)

After that, I decided to heal and head out
I clawed my way through the water of doooom and got lost many, many times
Finally found Ever Grande City and decided to heal my (not really) exhausted Pokemon
Here I saved to prepare for m trial up ahead...

Part the Fifth :: In Which the World Is Saved By a Teenager... Again
In this episode, Morgan...
...Surfed to Sootopolis City.
...Dove to the Seafloor Cavern.
...fought Magma Leader Maxie.
All of Maxie's Pokémon were about five levels above mine, so it was an interesting challenge. His Mightyena used Roar on Arthur and dragged out Squire, so I quickly switched him out. The Mightyena wasn't too difficult; it kept using Swagger and I kept using my Yellow Flute right afterwards, so my Attack jumped and didn't hurt me much. I sent in Percival against his Camerupt, only have him OHKOed by Earthquake, although I did sneak a Fake Tears in there. Arthur was also taken down by Earthquake, and Galahad eventually won that one with several Air Cutters. I sent in Lancelot for his Crobat and OHKOed it with Spark. This battle took two tries.

...traveled to the Cave of Origin.
...fought and captured Groudon.
I started out by having Galahad use Sand-Attack several times to cut down Groudon's Accuracy. He used Bulk Up several times, so his high Defense -- and Attack, for that matter -- was annoying. He KOed Galahad with a few Slashes and then a Fire Blast. I sent out Arthur and used Iron Defense a few times, while Groudon (surprise, surprise) used Bulk Up some more. Unfortunately, Fire Blast OHKOed Arthur, so I sent Percival in and had him use Fake Tears. When Fire Blast OHKOed him, I sent in Lancelot and used Supersonic to confuse Groudon. Unfortunately, Lancelot's attacks couldn't hurt Groudon, so I revived my other Pokémon while he was confused, letting him wear down his own HP in the process. Groudon kept trying to use Bulk Up even though his Attack and Defense were at their maximum. Groudon hit Lancelot with a Slash, leaving him with two HP, so I sent in Galahad. One Steel Wing later, Groudon's HP was low enough for me to catch him with an Ultra Ball just for kicks, even though I had the Master Ball. He'll be sent over to another of my games later. Oh wait... I just wasted two Revives and two Lemonades on Arthur and Percival. Bother.

I sent out Lancelot first, and he OHKOed Wallace's Luvdisc. No surprises there, since Lancelot had OHKOed every Pokémon in the entire Gym except for one, which took two hits. I used Galahad for Wallace's Whiscash, which was a little annoying. I used Sand-Attack first, followed by a series of Air Cutters. Water Pulse's ability to confuse was very troublesome. Wallace's Sealeo and Seaking were taken down fairly quickly by Lancelot. I sent in Percival when Wallace sent out his Milotic so I could heal Lancelot. Percival was OHKOed by Water Pulse. I sent Lancelot back in, and paralyzed Milotic. It had about one HP left when Lancelot fainted. Galahad used Peck. This battle took two attempts.

...Surfed to Evergrande City just for the sake of being able to Fly to it.
...Surfed to Pacifidlog Town just for the sake of being able to Fly to it.
...trained against some Swimmers and Triathletes along the way. The team is going to need some intense training before even thinking about tackling the Elite Four.

Hai der. Okay, this thread seems to hate me, and I hate this thread so we will be appointing a new owner! If you are interested, there are a few things you need to do. FIRST, you must introduce yourself formally, so I can get a feel of your personality. This will be done over VM. SECOND, you will create an update of the first post of this thread, like, everything that I have in the same order but updated to everything upcoming to this post, including the banners and shinies section. THIRD, you will do something, anything of your choice. You can write a sentence on why you'd be good. You could make a poem. You could sing a song, or draw something, or tell me your ideas, or anything. This can be done over PM, VM, or posted in the thread.

Part Two

• I continued training in the forest, got Shroomish and Combusken to level 18.
• I then followed to fight the Gym Leader, swept her easily.
• I did the Peecko part, battling the trainers on the way.
• Mr.Briney thanked me, and I went on his ship to Dewford Island.
• Went to the nearby cave, caught a Makuhita and trained up my entire team to level twenty five, evolving both Makuhita and Shroomish.
• Swept Brawly.
• Headed down to Slateport to see Captain Stern.
• Gave him the required goods, as well as defeating the pesky Magma agents.
• Followed on to the trainers nearby, and the cycle path underneath.
• Fought May and defeated her quickly, followed through and reached Mauville.
• Defeated Wally, and then followed to defeat Wattson.
• Headed upwards with Rock Smash, and caught a Machop.
• Currently training up Machop.

So does this mean this is bad time for me to join? Cuz I'll join with GRASS if that's ok. Is it ok? With this new owner conversion thingy I'm having a hard time understanding joining. But yeah, I'll start with grass.
