    i am thinking of getting a racing game. i want one with free roam so thats why i left out shift. what game do you think is better. i want a game with fub driving realistic and good storyline for ps3
     
    I'd go with NFS but only because I've never played the new Midnight Club. Plus, I've always been a bit of a NFS fanboy (and Maggie Q is in this one <3) :r
     
    thanx. ive actually also played every NFS. personally i like its actual driving more fun. but i played midnight club 1/2 and it hadd guns and motorbikes so im not sure :s
     
    So, let me get this right. You're looking for a racing game that's free roam and has a decent storyline? There are no racing games like that these days.
     
    Racing games really aren't known for having stories. o_o;
    Have you played Burnout Paradise? It's one of my favorite racing games of all time, and it's free-roam.
     
    I prefer Midnight Club atually. It has the most unique style of racing in my opinion. Dont recall guns though.
     
    Burnout Paradise will be the best for free roam but I didn't like it too much as a racer.

    I hate how short most racers last these days so I don't really bother with them.
     
    hmm. i guess itll be hard to find a good racing game. ehh ill just get midnight club and burnout and NFS

    Burnout Paradise. Really the only free-roam racing game I've played...except for maybe Diddy Kong Racing. Kinda.

    Burnout Paradise is great. A little repetitive but fun. Doesn't have a story though.
     
    Burnout in general is great.

    Uhm, Mario Kart? No plot, no free roaming, but it's still a great game.
     
    It would have been better if you mentioned what consoles you own for us to offer options for a better answer.

    I've only played a few racers from this generation: Burnout Paradise and Test Drive Unlimited. And both those titles are available on 360 and a few other platforms. Test Drive Unlimited has a bigger map than Burnout Paradise, but Burnout is Burnout is Burnout. You like it or you don't or one plays something else.

    Good luck finding Midnight Club: Los Angeles, haha. It's a tricky one to find.

    Are you racing with "wheel usage" ?

    List of my racing game experience:

    TDU, Burnout: Paradise, Burnout 1 & 2 for the Gamecube, F-Zero SNES & Gamecube, Star Wars Podracer, Super Bombad... , Vigilante 8, Diddy Kong Racing, various Marion Kart, some GTA races online, LEGO Racers (PC & N64)

    Also not a race game, but BloodWake had its moments.
     
    lol well i was mainly looking for ps3. plus i already have diddy kong.and for now no wheel usasge unfortunately. midngiht club is available in argos in the uk
     
    I played the NFS underground and liked it very much til I got stuck racing #15, I still go in there and play every now and again, but it makes me mad, all I need is the bounty, I get it and then can't escape!!
