Aw, your Piers art is great but I love, love, love this Chibi Milo!! I don't know why but that piece just really works for me in a lot of ways. Maybe it's because he looks like he's about to toss that Wooloo like a bowling ball lol.

I also like how you drew full background in a bunch of your Piers pieces too. Don't see that very often! The best criticism I can give is to make sure you're paying attention to anatomy. For instance the hands in your most recent piece end up very small compared to the body. So don't be afraid to use references while drawing! :) Great work so far though and I look forward to seeing more from you!

Haven't been here in a while, whoops haha. Here's something I finished recently for an art challenge on another forum. The challenge was to draw a Pokémon in armor or armor inspired by a Pokémon.

Mega Gardevoir is in armor, because Mega Gallade in armor would be too easy lol.

I haven't been too terribly inspired to draw anything in the past few months, but Youtube kept recommending me art-related videos recently and I wanted to draw something again. But what to draw? My question was answered by a fun game I play called Love Nikki. There was a new Halloween event featuring 2 new suits- a fire witch and a werewolf. In a rash decision at 2 am on Halloween, I started this sketch of the werewolf boy.

ok gonna be honest, I've been simping over him since I first saw him, that's why I drew him in the first place.

The Youtube videos really helped, because I learned a few new tricks like flipping the canvas and drawing correct head proportions. I think his proportions are significantly better than any of my other drawings.

I still don't know if I want to include the outlines or not. If I do, then I'll have to re-draw them, since the brush I used for the sketch is too thick and opaque.

My apologies for the time differences, but here's something I did back in March. There's a bit of a story to it, so I'll put that in a spoiler.
The story:

My friends and I were at Disney World and we were talking about how you aren't allowed to dress as a Disney character if you're over a certain age because people might think you worked there. One of my friends then proposed the idea that we all dress as Disney princesses, but warrior/assassin versions of them. We all thought it was a good idea, and we all brainstormed as we rode on the Sky Track things (whatever they're called). We all decided who would get which princess, and we all thought of outfits and weapons to use. It was so fun. I got Rapunzel, which I'm so happy because Tangled is my favorite Disney movie.

Note: I traced the body from an image online. Here was my design for assassin Rapunzel. Black outlined pieces are armor pieces, gray outlined pieces are fabric pieces, and the brown "braided" parts are a belt and leg band made of Rapunzel's "hair". (I'm still on the fence on whether I want to wear shoes...) Even if I never make this cosplay, it was still fun to draw and plan it out.

An update on the wolf boi drawing from a few parts ago... no I'm not finished yet...

It's actually good and I don't know how to handle my excitement! I'm proud of myself, even if it's not perfect, because I'm improving. I'm using tons of reference videos and such to help explain things. I think my favorite part is the subtle shading in the background and foreground. Here's a meme I made that somewhat explains what I mean:

Yes I function in memes so this is what I thought of. And this meme format is the first thing that came to mind. It's hard to see, but I'll explain. Panel 1 is absolutely no shading in the background. Panel 2 has black shading in the background, behind wolf boi, concentrated more in the bottom left corner. Panel 3 has shading over wolf boi, also concentrated in the bottom left corner. Panel 4 has the slightest dark purple shade over everything, which is so subtle but it makes it 200% better. I then erased the shadows over the eyes (and any other bright highlight) so they would pop.

isn't it awesome when you figure out just that one extra thing that really makes your art stand out? (´∀｀)♡ I love that feeling when everything clicks into place. You really have improved in your coloring and I'm excited to see what you do next!

Oops, haven't been here in a while. I have some stuff I've done in the past few months. I usually like to give commentary, but my commentary now would be different from when I first finished these. Also I'm lazy lol

Ignore that purple heart, that's just there so I can use eyedropper tool if I need to fix the outlines

It makes me excited to see improvements in my art, even among these 6 I'm posting now! (´▽`ʃƪ) Some specific things I've been trying to get better at are using reference poses and online resources, hard shading, drawing hair, and working faster.

New OC! I was gonna post a character thread in the Writing section, but I'll be honest, I'm more concerned with the drawing than the character info (as interesting as it is). I started drawing the character just to draw them, then I decided to add on a whole personality. Here is the inspiration:

Sorry if it's hard to read. I write small. And yes, he's villain-coded.

This was definitely something WAY outside of my comfort zone (I don't like to draw muscular characters, and I was drawing traditionally instead of digitally) but I think that's what I love about this! It feels good to get outside of my drawing comfort zone.

(also if anyone has any suggestions of what to name him, PLEASE let me know. I don't know what to name him)
