Can I ask again I'm not sure about the rules regarding HM slaves. If you have a full team of six that you do train, can you still have a HM slave or two that you never train, only teach HMs?

Yeah, that sounds logical. You need 2 HM slaves at least if you don't want to use HMs on your final party, you can't get one pokemon that can learn both fly and surf for example.

YAS!!!! UPDATE

Hey people. Just wanted to give an update before i go off to camp this week and won't be able to play.

First list of things i have come to realize:

1.With the lack of water types....some of this game might be harder....just sayin

2. Hitmonchan (now named Jackie) will be a BEAST when it gets ice,fire and thunder punch.

3. Rampart (my tauros) is Modest nature...didn't feel like catching a new one...i taught it surf and so far...its actually pretty decent...and its tied for highest level at 27


Currently....i am climbing that blasted light house....Back in goldenrod i easily took care of Whitney, Morty went down pretty quickly too....which was a big surprise to me cause i normally have trouble with him. I know i did in my completed SoulSilver.

Alrighty, let's go on EMERALD VERSION. :D

I started, and picked Torchic (whoops) and did the basic stuff, etc, then went to catch a Wingull and nicknamed it WINZIE. Training it as I went through Route 102, in Petalburg City, it was level 5. After teaching Wally and everything, I went through Petalburg Forest, running out of PP for Water Gun as I did. Deciding to forgo returning, I braved on with Torchic and finally reached Rustboro with a Level 10 WINZIE and a level 12 TORCHIC.

I'm going to get owned. =|

EDIT: I didn't. I OHKO'd all the Geodudes in the gym with Water Gun, then got up to Nosepass. With a lucky Supersonic, I confused it and it hit itself a few times in a row while I continually Growled at it. With confusion and attack-lowering, I stalled its Rock Tomb PP out until it could only Tackle me and destroyed it with Water Gun. :D

I then passed through the next route, avoiding all the trainers (so I could train my Tentacool when I caught it on Dewford) and saving the Devon Goods. Yadayadayada, now I'm headed over to Dewford.

EDIT 2: Got a beautiful Eevee from my FR and caught a Tentacool. Now to train the latter for Brawly. :D

Grinding a bit outside Oldale to level my guys up slightly. :D
