> Turned on PC to obtain a Potion. Left my house and tried to leave town only for Prof. Oak to stop me. Took me to his lab where I obtained the starter Squirtle. Rival took Bulbasaur. Didn't nickname my starter.

> Tried to leave Oak's lab but Green decided that I had to do battle with him. Had some difficulty trying to defeat Green as his Bulbasaur had used Growl to lower my Squirtle's attack power. Managed to defeat him with Squirtle nearly dead. Did not use a Potion in this battle. Squirtle also grew to level 6.

> Left Pallet Town to travel to Viridian City. Talked to a guy on Route 1 and recieved a Potion. Also fled every battle I encountered.

> Entered the Poké Mart and recieved Oak's Parcel from the guy behind the desk. Travelled back to Pallet Town avoiding battles from Wild Pokémons. Delivered Oak's Parcel to Oak and recieved the Pokédex in return.

> Recieved the Town Map from Green's Sister. Left Pallet Town (again) and travelled back to Viridian City avoiding more battles from wild pokémons.

> Bought 10 Poké Balls at the Poké Mart and travelled west from Viridian arriving at Route 22. Captured Nidoran (Female) after wasting 1 Poké Ball. Nicknamed it Holly. Travelled back to Viridian and healed my Pokémons at the Poké Center. Also stored Squirtled in the PC.

> Before travelling North of Viridian City, I checked the tree that can be cut and found a Potion in it. Left Viridian City and travelled to Viridian Forest.

kk, so started Emerald a little while ago. Grabbed my Torchic, and trained it to Lv8 before battling Rival May. Got my Pokedex, and now it's off to battle and train my Pokemon.

Update? I think so.

I trained everyone some more so the rival fight won't be such a hard task. Fortunately, with a few revives and healing, I took down his Metagross along with the rest of his team. I taught Stealth TM34 Shock Wave and entered the Pastoria Gym.
It was a challenge. A huge one. Wake's Milotic kept using Recover, and I had to consequently do the Bite+Dragon Rage+Moomoo Milk combo with my Crystal. But eventually I defeated Wake and won my 5th badge.
I went into Celestic Town and delivered the old charm. I fought Cyrus, who was a cakewalk, except for his Haunter who almost destroyed my entire team.
Then I got HM03 Surf and taught it to Crystal. I first went to Route 221 and... found Entei in there. It destroyed most of my team, but I had to kill it because I didn't have the nerve to catch it. After searching in the grass some more, I found my last team member, Sudowoodo. I named her Holly. I then moved on to fight my rival in Canalave City. It was a hard fight again, but Cloud 9 handled him after Metagross died.
That's where I saved and took a break. Next time I'll take on the Canalave Gym, and move on to Iron Island and Snowpoint City.

After checking my bag in my Blue file earlier, I noticed that I did NOT talk to the guy on Route 1 to recieve a free potion. Yeah, not that it's like a important announcment or anything... just thought I'd point it out. :p

> Did some severe training in Viridian Forest growing Holly to level 9. Wasted 1 Potion. Also had to travel back to Viridian City to heal my Pokémon to recover lost PP. Now Travelled West of Viridian City to battle my Rival.

Rival Green

Pidgey: Was a spot of bother and nearly killed poor Holly before I had to use my last Potion to heal her. Also kept spamming Sand-Attack yet it only lowered my accuracy twice. Missed a few times with Scratch before I managed to take it out.

Bulbasaur: Because of Pidgey spamming Sand-Attack to death, I had difficulty trying to defeat this Bulbasaur. After two critical and managing to put it's health to the red zone, It started to spam Growl making my Attack power even weaker and then hit me with a Leech Seed. After getting my health sapped and still not being able to hit Bulbasaur, it finally put me out of my Misery with a Tackle.

> Travelled south of Viridian City and spoe to the guy to get a free Potion. Went back to Viridian City and travelled west to fight Green again.

Rival Green (2nd attempt fighting him)

Pidgey: Managed to get 2 Critical hits against my Holly with Gust and making me waste the Potion I just recieved. Fell after a few scratches, but managed to get me with 2 Sand-Attack's (which'll make me miss like cancer as usual).

Bulbasaur: Because of my low health, Bulbasaur hit me with Leech Seed at the start taking health after health out of poor Holly. Managed to get two Scratch's into Bulbasaur before Pidgey's Sand-Attack started to kick in making poor Holly miss. Bulbasaur's Leech Seed finished off my Holly.

(Avoiding Green at this time now. Holly also grew to level 10 after this battle).

> Travelled north of Viridian City and got interrupted by a Caterpie on Route 3. Finished it off and arrived in Viridian Forest.

> Got through Viridian Forest defeating all the trainers growing Holly to level 13. Also defeated two wild Metapod's and a wild Kakuna. Decided to travel back to Viridian City. Picked up a Potion on the way and defeated another wild Metapod and a Caterpie. Healed my Pokémon at the Poké Center and travelled west to fight Green again.

Pidgey: Hardly a threat this time and only took little damage to Holly with Gust. Also attempted to spam Sand-Attack to make the battle unfair, but it missed (luckily). Managed to defeat it after using 4 Scratch's.

Bulbasaur: Didn't cause much of a problem. Used Leech Seed trying to sap health out of me and spammed Growl too much. Fell after 6 Scratch's.

Now, I've noticed that with the team I've already been given in this challange, I've noticed that the only way to obtain Farfetch'd, you'd need to trade someone a Spearow in Vermillion.

And I still allowed to get it despite saying in my application that I didn't want any trading pokemons? Or does trading pokemons only mean that pokémons that evolve when traded?

Also - in Generation 1, isn't Nidoqueen a fully evolved pokémon? I'm also asking this because in the list thingy, I asked for stage 2 pokémons (yet I know Clefable wouldn't be a fully evo as baby pokemons don't exist back then).

If you want, you can just leave it as a Nidorina, and you can still get Farfetch'd since its only way to be obtained is by a trade.
