So by June I'll be done with high school, have a job for summer and have plenty of time on my hands for endless hours of mind numbing Pokemon games. Haha.

So which should I go for, ranger or mystery dungeon? And whichever one, should I go for the newer games or the original? Not sure if both of the sets have had new versions out yet.

What are the benefits to each? Can I transfer any Pokemon to D/P or a GC/Wii game?

Pick Ranger. There you can get a manaphy egg which you can trade to D/P.

I had to make the decission last saturday and chose Ranger. Because of Manaphy (so it adds to D/P, Mystery Dungeon doesnt) and Ranger looks better and makes better use of the DS, you will be done with the game within 9 hours (i already finished it on sunday) but you will have had a real pokemon adventure, you are really inside the world with nice (2D) pokemon walking around. And you're a human, which beats being a pokemon. Mystery Dungeon is way more 'kiddy' than ranger.

Once you get a job you might not have as much time as you think you were getting, because you work a lot and you might not play your games as much, but thats my opinion, so anyways I say get both games. ;) lol sorry bout that...

Easily Pokémon Ranger. Drawing circles furiously is so much fun, and laughing at the weird glances people give you is also fun.
