Rap compared to Rock

EDIT: Actually a cardinal rule of gothicism is that you don't label yourself since it contradicts the principles of gothicism...which is simply being a free thinker. But that's all off topic XD

I won't get into that 'cause this would take forever to explain and it gives me a headache, I've had to explain it far too many times <_<. You have your own opinion I have my own and personally I am what I am you make of that what you will. So let's leave it at before this gets messy.

Anyway, yeah there are also a lot of black people who like rock over rap. I know a few who have told me so themselves and it doesn't make them any different. You're right Blue, good music is good music in the end.

1)Now you are being racist? You dislike Rock because it is white people playing it?

2)Those people that died "for" rap didn't have to die for it. If people weren't so ghetto and stupid they wouldn't have died.

3)Yeah they had to suffer hardships, so do alot of people, but if you grow past your hardships you don't have to remind us about it by making bunk, rude language filled songs. If they do that, they are no better than what they grew up as.

Maybe, if you had researched some of the rapper's background then you would know what I mean (Which I really doubt). The " It is like I am arguiing with a 9 year old." line is rather amusing, seeing how the person i'm trying to debate can't even spell "arguing" right.

Suffering is a moot point, alot of people suffer in our world, and alot of these suffering people don't make it to where they can wear 5 pounds of gold on their necks. ---It isn't even music! It is just poetry set to a beat. Music is instruments blaring, vocal talent, good lyrics. And most rap lyrics these days stink, with the exceptions of the classics...and if rap is mostly lyrics...and the lyrics stink...well you get the point.

1) Actually I did, if people can say rap is just about black people who can talk really fast then it's the same attack on the "white rockers".

I know this because I live around L.A. and no you can't change your course because your saying this out of your opinion but i'm saying this out of my experience.

2) Sadly, not everyone can match up to your expectations.

Anyway,Rap is #1 in my book,if you check Billboard.com and check the top singles,CANDY SHOP-50 Cent ft. Oliva is at #1,and it's on the Hip-Hop singles,most of the songs are 50 Cent/The Game.

my closing statement is this: Rap is NOT a musical genre, it is a form of lyrical poetry set to a beat. Nothing more, nothing less. But when you compare rap to instrument driven music you are comparing two different things.

Jasonresno, LatiosMaster was correct by saying that most rappers were born and raised in the ghetto. However, not all of them turned out to become ghetto, like the people they lived around. Biggie Smalls is a perfect example. He was born and raised in one of the toughest parts of Brooklyn. But he still kept going on with his life, no matter what happened around him. Though he hustled for a couple of years. But it was only for a little while and he did that just so he can help put food on the table, and survive in such a society like he lived in. But he never did anything to hurt anyone. Every other rapper is much more ghetto than he ever was. Yet, even though he was a great person, he was still murdered. So dont jump to conclusions and say that rappers died because they're ghetto.

They use such language so they can sell records and make money, being that the music buisness is about making music and selling records.
