Rarest card?

Yes, the Charizard with the yellow background looks very fake. And I have Base Set 1 Charizard and my neighbor has a Base Set 2 Charizard and they look the same. Backgrounds and all.

The Charizard looks pretty fake to me, I am a huge collector of the cards, and never once heard of ANY misprint such as that. In my eyes, it is a fake card. ( I doubt Wizards of the Coast was stupid enough to make it have the wrong Holo Background. (That looks like Jungle Wigglytuff's background) and have it evolve from Charmander. >>

To contribute to the EX discussions: EX is a uber Pokemon with higher HP, broken attacks, and you draw two prizes when they are knocked out.

Mewtwo EX isn't that rare, Ruby and Sapphire EX's were quite common..I got 12 in one of my boxes I won. >> But if it's the only EX you have, then that's your rarest card. (Shiny Mewtwo is worth more and is rarer I belive.)

Ampharos EX is NOT a broken card. I tied against an Ampharos Deck at the National Tournament, and I was using Wailord EX. XD Though Ampharos is powerful, with all the other cards out, Amphy EX isn't considered "broken" just a simple EX, which are all uber and were a lame edition to the game. >> lol Though, with the coming of Blastoise EX in the next set, Amphy will start seeing more play, though I don't consider it broken.

Blaziken EX, for 4 Energies, discarding 2, can do 100 damage to any Pokemon you want. Then with the Holo Blaziken from R/S you just firestarter them back on and do it again..in my opinion, Blaziken EX is WAY more broken then Amphy EX is, or ever will be.

In the mean time...*treasues his signed Gyarados*

Ok here is my take on EX's

Amphy Ex-
Was good now just basiclly sucks

Mewtwo Ex-
Good if you know how to play it right

Blaziken Ex-
Just added more kill to blaze/RAMBO decks And Rambo decks WIll die

Blastoise Ex-
Love this card. It will be played alot

Gardy Ex-
Love this Card. Only way to OHKO it is another Gardy Ex.

Blasty will see a lot of play, but It will get beaten by Ampy I think. *shrugs*

I really should put my Tournament Record on here somewhere..but my Sig is to big that way..X_X

Ampharos isn't my only ex. I also have two kingdra ex, a electabuzz ex, a wailord ex, a wigglytuff ex, a groudon ex, and a kyogre ex.

Compared to most ex's I've seen, I till think that Ampharos is possibly one of the strongest. Mewtwo ex isn't even anything special. His attacks are exactly teh same as the mewtwos I had once used in my psychic deck.

Ok, now I'm freakin' confused

How can this card be a fake if it was in a sealed box and in a sealed pack? I have gotten several hundred cards this way. I originally thought that this card was correct until my neighbor showed me his Basic 1.

As you can see by some of my other cards....I haven't changed anything and did the photos just before posting. All have been acquired in the same manner. Does anyone have a contact or info on how to contact a local person to have this seen? I am located in Campbell, CA.

I'm just saying that the Charizard looks very fake. It isn't hard for people to make a fake that looks EXACTLY the same and print it out on the right paper and for it to feel and look the same.

Dang, what ampharos ex are YOu using?! Mine is in my hand right now and it reads as follows:

Ampharos ex 150hp
Poke-Body: Conductivity. As long as ampharos ex is in play, whenever your opponent attaches an Energy card to his or her pokemon from hand, put 1 damage counter on that pokemon. You can't put more than one damage counter even if there are more than 1 ampharos ex in play.

Electric, colorless, colorless. Gigavolt 40+

Flip a coin. If heads This attack does 40 damage plus 30 more damage. If tails, the Defending pokemon is now paralyzed.

Like I said, that is one broken card. Either serious damage ar a good chunk of damage plus parlysis. It can't get much better than that. And as a matter of fact, I have two of him. This guy is my best card and i intend to use him.
I may be wrong, but if you flipped tails, wouldn't your Amphaross ex get paralyzed, and not do damage? I have looked at many reviews of this card, and they all say that this card is useless, especially when it is a Stage 2 Pok?mon, making it harder to play.

My ex cards are these:
Mewtwo ex
Magmar ex
Ampharos ex
I have found 3 ex cards in 12 ex booster packs. What are the exact odds of finding one?

Pogi is right, Amphy would still deal out the standard 40 damage, and paralyze the defending Pokemon.

Amphy is pretty bad in tournament play, because it loses to just about any decks out there right now, but it can hold it's own if it gets a fast start. Amphy is fun though, because it can be fast, and will be awesome against the tons of Blasty decks that will be coming up soon.

I think that judging by that Ampharos's moves it could hold in battle for awhile maybe even with a disadvantage.
I think that one of my best battling cards would be wailord ex. I love battling with it. ^_^

I love my fossil/wailord deck, it got me 38th at Nationals! Wailord EX...all in all it's pretty weak, but it's just so fun! ^_^ and if you play it right, it can be really annoying (as long as you play it with fossils), and with a lot of healing cards, you're decently set up. Wailord EX, although standardly weak (his attack loses 10 damage for every damage counter on Wailord EX, starting with a base of 100.) But is a great one hit KOer, and is pretty basic after that.

Hehehe, I love it because it is just so annoying! I beat my brother every time I use it battling him, I guess it works out well because I have tons of healing cards. One time he even tried to hide it from me. XD None of my friends battle with me anymore.

Wailord ex is in teh same deck as Ampharos ex. I should take out Healing berry and replace it with another potion. it may recover less damage, but potion is any time while healing berry requires the user to have 20 hp or less. If i waited that long to heal wailord, he's attack will be doing nothing. :\

By that comment..did you mean Amphy and Wailord are in a deck together..because that doesn't seem like it would work in any type of hardcore tournament play. >>

Anyhow, Potions and Oran Berry are the best way to go for Wailord RX, although I only play a few Potions..I rely mostly on Super Deep Dive, switch with a fossil, and keep using that strategy. I have Snow-Cloud and Rain Castforms in my deck..SC-Castform for Stall (Flurries!) and Rain for draw power. I used to have Relincanth, but it was just stalling me down.

I used to play Wailord EX with Xatu, it's power heals 10 damage a turn, but in the end, the Xatus only turned into cannon fodder for Blaziken EX and such. X_X

The final I have..Wailord/EX/Fossils/Castform works really well, and can hold it's own well in tournaments. (Use my nationals as an example.) So don't ever diss the power of a Wailord, especially when it can beat/tie against Ampharos..his weakness. ^^

Hmm..^^;; It's not that hard, though I did come up with that myself.

Most of my decks are from my friends at the league I go too. Our League is made up of pretty much the Top 15 or so Players in Michigan. And most of "The Shack" is going to the World Championships, because of winning other tournaments to gain invites and trips. I'm not going to the Worlds, but I hope to make it next year. Heck, to "The Shack" Pokemon is..well...big, It's still just a game, but one that means something to all of us.

Kaylee, with that post, I now feel like I have a Fanclub. ^^; I'm not that great of a player, honestly...

Anyhow..I'm sorry to throw this topic off so much...though it has been off topic for a while now...Gomennasai. -_-;
