Rate my Ice Team

Swampert takes neutral damage to fighting, as does Jynx. Combine that with Jynx's horrible defense, easy OHKO to ScarfCross's Close Combat.

I agree, dispite the fact that Jinx can counter with Psychic, Swampert is much more durable. ^^

(and yes, Focus Sash with Swords Dance is a "must", because Weavile has low defenses)

I'm concidering Frosslass, but then again, she has a resistance to fighting moves, so that can be useful and it has. I'm just not sure though. >.>

Walrein Jinx Cloyster Lapras this team can go alot of different ways, changing your team at all Keitaro. Walrein or Lapras instead of Abomasnow, no question in my mind.

I'm not taking out Abomosnow because it's ability gives my team the advantage from the beginning of the battle because of the hail.

No. Frosslass is needed on an Ice Team. Ice Pokemon = Weak against fighting. It absorbs the fighting moves.

I agree with you, but I need a fire absorber too and I just don't know who to take out.

O and (editing here) A bulky ice type like Cloyster or Lapras (maybe even Glaceon) can get away with a Hail. Abomasnow's grass/Ice type just isn't worth it. Plus they amde teh Abomanal snow man ugly and unintimidating.

I find it easier to have Hail start up rather than taking an extra turn to start it. Plus, it doesn't end until someone else uses a weather move. With Abomosnow, my main focus is to have it create hail, weither it lives through the first few rounds or not.

Cloyster is the best possible defensive wall Ice type...

You need some serious walling to do.

If you're not too harsh on legendaries, Articuno can put an end to the ground weakness.

True, that could work, but my only problem is who do I take off the team to make room for either Cloyster or Articuno? Also, I can't seem to get an Articuno anyway ^^;

Abomasnow: The King of Mediocre pokemon.

That moveset is alright I guess, I'd suggest Wood Hammer over Grass Knot with a Lonely nature though.

Weavile, I'd go Jolly, unless you want to keep Adamant for Battle Tower. Focus Sash it for a free Swords Dance, and then sweep.

Swampert, use this moveset:

- Hydro Pump
- Earthquake
- Blizzard
- Stealth Rock

Mixpert is cool.

Mamoswine, should be replaced with Cloyster. You have ground type coverage in your team already, no need for more.

Nature: Bold(+Def, -Atk)
Ability: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 Hp, 208 Def, 48 Sp. Atk
- Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Blizzard
- Explosion

Basically set up spikes, blow away spikes, hit whatever you can with blizzard, then explode.

Froslass, no need for hail on it. Focus Sash can work I guess. Go with this I suppose:

- Thunder Wave
- Destiny Bond
- Thunderbolt
- Blizzard

Just because you need some status here.

Glaceon, replace with Arcanine:

- Flare Blitz
- Crunch
- Thunder Fang
- Overheat

Just don't get your Abomasnow killed. It's hail is important to the team. Watch out for TTar.

Okay, I agree with you with the team with the exception of replacing Glaceon. Since it's the reason I even decided to make the team, I am not gonna remove it. Is there another pokemon I can take out other than Glaceon???

True. Wait, if I don't add Arcanine, then couldn't Cloyster and Swampert both be able to take fire attack since they're both half water?

Cloyster would probably get OHKOed by a fire move. It's special defense is terrible. You need a full out fire resist.

Hmm...well, Swampert would be resistant against fire, so that would work. I think when I post the edited team, I'll show either pokemon that can be used.

Cloyster works wonderful as a physical wall but I wouldn't consider it a fire resist.

Lapras works as the highest special defense non-legendary pokemon with a massive HP stat.

Dewgong has an almost average spread of stats and gains access to Rain Dance/Hydration/Rest combo.

Weavile: Well, i wanna make sure that it has enough attack to start KOing pokemon left and right.

Glaceon: So your saying like Toxic or something that lowers stats?

Weavile: It will probably be taken down first turn , its attack can be life-threatening to most pokemon with proper EVs and IVs. It definitely will barely last one hit.

Weavile: I'm aware of that. That's why it has a focus sash on it, just in case.
