I'm back guys, my old pc sort of blew up but this one is fine. Packard Bell Quadcore PC with windows vista. Anyway, I need you guys to help me with this team! I want to be pwnzor at Wi-Fi battling but I keep epic failing at it. I have learned about EVs and IVs (Although I suck at IVs) and I have started EV training and got about thirty Pokémon which are well-trained.

    Anyway, here we go!

    Team:

I also have a Froslass which is in training still. Tell me what I could add from the other Pokémon list and lets build a decent team guys. I love my Glaceon so maybe adding him to my team would be a good idea? Glad to see your suggestions and ratings.

(Forgot to add that I have other EV'd Pokémon with horrid, horrid natures. Loads of them.)

    Pokémon in training/consideration:

    Tyranitar, Jolly Nature.
    Magnezone, Naive/Timid Nature.
    Froslass, Timid Nature.

Hidden Power Fighting has better coverage and so you arnt utter pursuit bait against t-tar. Do not lead with a non-suicide azelf ever, its a terrible lead.

    Shaymin, Modest Nature.
    Life Orb.

    Moves:

Better coverage. Wants outrage or its really mediocre.

    Machamp, Adamant Nature.

    Yah or rest talk.

    Uxie, Bold/Relaxed Nature.

    252 Hp, 252 Def, 6 SpDef.

    Moves:
    ~Thunderbolt
    ~Stealth Rock
    ~U-Turn / Reflect
    ~Thunderwave

Uxie wants T-Bolt or your entire team gets shredded by Gyarados. In addition your team also lacks Stealth Rock. Uxie has a great support movepool, you should utilize that more i feel. T-Waving things i find a whole lot better than yawn in all honesty and it would help Machamp sweep better because its slow. Reflect is also good too and stops you from being Pursuit bait whilst supporting the team.

    Tyranitar, Jolly Nature.
    Leftovers.
    6 Hp, 252 Atk, 252 Speed.

    Moves:
    ~Dragon Dance
    ~Crunch

Yes it wants jolly (332 after a DD with Adamant is pathetic, jolly gives you enough to outrun Azelf, Starmie and Raikou after a dd. Aqua Tail >> Ice Fang which is way better).

    Comments in bold.

Ok, well Scizor currently destroys you. Id personally put something like Scarf Magnezone >> Shaymin (who does nothing) because A. Removing steel types makes mences life a whole lot easier. B. Removing Scizor and thus Bullet Punch makes T-Tars job a whole lot easier 3. Absorbing outrages is sweet. ^_^

    Magnezone@Choice Scarf
    Naive Nature
    252 S.ATT / 252 SPEED / 6 ATT
    - Thunderbolt
    - Hidden Power Fire
    - Flash Cannon
    - Explosion

Nothing can really lead well here tbh, Uxie is probably your best bet though.

    Just some things to consider.

Very interesting advice on the Shaymin but I am completely lost when it comes to calculating how to get hidden power. Azelf was cool as a lead, usually KOs two Pokémon and makes the opponent wonder why it didn't stealthrock.

Azelf is there to KO Scizor and stop the Scizor weaknesses but can be taken out of lead and used to Nasty Plot Sweep. Modest is fine in my opinion but whatever, also Salamence is best suited to keeping Brickbreak as it is able to one hit KO and outspeed most Blissey. Considering Outrage and Aqua Tail when I have more shards.

Now onto Uxie, its current nature reduces special attack and because of this I think Thunderbolt would be a bad idea. I am going to replace Uxie with Blissey possibly, Uxie was only a joke among my friends and doesn't do too well in the OU battling tier.

Jolly Tyranitar? I'll see but its not easy to find another shiny larvitar so I would have to settle for normal. I'll consider training another one later when I have some more money in-game for vitamins.

Thanks for your advice anyway. Going to teach Salamence outrage and aqua tail when I have more shards. I think Machamp is fine but would be better with a scarf/band. :)

Seriously with the large advent of TTar leads (setting up the sand) you are almost guarenteed to get a pursuit OHKO'ed. HP Fighting allows you to hurt TTars a LOT after a NP boost. Timid or you don't outspeed Gengars :S who will shadow ball you and KO.
350 - Gengar max with Timid
361 - Azelf max with timid.
Gengar may not seem like much but the ability to outpace him is grand. Why waste a 115 base speed pokemon?
This does NOT want to be lead, it gets swept so easily.

A great sweeper! The opponent pulls out their lead Zong or whatever lead they are using and expects Stealthrock. They'd be wrong though, Azelf immidiately attacks if it is a possible 1HKO or can set up for a nasty plot sweep. Awesome for dealing with those annoying bulky steel and water types, also pwns slow Gengar.

Cute. Honestly, Shaymin is a good pokemon. Calculating IV's for Hidden powers isn't hard. 9/10 you can google a guide and catch on in about 10 seconds. Also if Modest shaymin doesn't always OHKO a heatran, I'd be asking the opponent what is up.

A UU?! Yep, Shaymin manages to 1HKO some Heatran with Earthpower and turns out to be a real pain for fire-types other than the likes of Charizard. Shaymin doesn't like ice, though. Shaymin can usually outspeed some ice-types, especially bulky ones but has trouble with Pokémon like Blissey with icebeam.

Instant threat is nice. Fire fang for Zongs and other stupid steels Outrage dents about anything despite what it might be. Sashing a Mence is just lol btw.

This was one of the first Pokémon I ever ev trained, it has a beastly 403 attack and can one hit KO most Blissey. I sometimes equip with a focus sash if they have a fast ice-type. Awesome for sweeping teams, really offensive but cannot take any ice attacks.

Idea was from D_A in one of my old RMT's. I can't take credit for the set.

I love this guy, really. He can KO anything, even his usual weaknesses of fighting and psychic. He has hp EVs so he can survive a weak super-effective moves. He sweeps the likes of Salamence, Gliscor, Gyarados and other x4 Pokémon to electric/ice. Cross Chop is just there because it's a strong physical move.

    Uxie, Careful Nature.

    ~Yawn/Twave

No Rocks, no Gyara coverage, no support coverage. Uxie can do a lot of stuff that you lack. Leading with U-turn is pretty nice. Might consider Reflect though I prefer u-turn for scouting. Tbolt is for coverage and it is one of the best gyara hitters ingame. Rocks is a must on anyteam. I also dislike double status Toxic + sleep on one pokemon. Double status ToxiBurn is fine. Toxic Sleep (yawn sleep at that) is silly. Twave helps out your entire team, as most have no +speed natures and can easily be KO'ed by anything with speed.

This Pokémon was made after my team got pwnt off some guys toxistall Uxie. It became a sort of meme among my friends because I raged so hard at the guy screaming "Uxie use protect" and "You can do it Uxie, I believe in you!" down his DS. Afterwards I came up with this, it uses toxic and then stalls. Replaces Blissey on a more original level. If a steel-type is sent out then it U-Turns into something that can deal with it. Yawn puts Fortress, Skarmory and Lucario to sleep and then I U-turn to pwn them with my other Pokémon.

    Tyranitar, Jolly Nature.

Better better better coverage. Now you hit Hippows for a LOT of damage and aren't totally destroyed by a lovely Swampert :D.

Jolly does seem weird to some but I have to agree with D_A it hits a prime speed after a DD and outpaces a lot of common threats.

I know, I know. Icefang should be replaced with Aqua Tail or Fire Fang. Anyway, this standard T-Tar sets up Dragon Dance and then sweeps like any common Tyranitar would. It's also shiny and is named Rockroll. Sweet!

Since you completely ignored D_A I figured I'd restate a LOT of things <_< to further prove the point that you will get swept if some changes aren't made.

For the most part I've just restated what D_A said yes. However every one else here will just resay it as well.

Azelf is there to KO Scizor and stop the Scizor weaknesses but can be taken out of lead and used to Nasty Plot Sweep.

Umm Bullet Punch ? Azelf gets OHKO'd pretty much.

Modest is fine in my opinion but whatever,

Its outsped by a heck of alot with Modest, including things which it should be beating aka Gar, Ape etc.

also Salamence is best suited to keeping Brickbreak as it is able to one hit KO and outspeed most Blissey. Considering Outrage and Aqua Tail when I have more shards.

Yeah, CB Outrage OHKO's Bliss already and Brick Break has redundant coverage with Aqua Tail.

Now onto Uxie, its current nature reduces special attack and because of this I think Thunderbolt would be a bad idea. I am going to replace Uxie with Blissey possibly, Uxie was only a joke among my friends and doesn't do too well in the OU battling tier.

    Change its nature then ?

Bliss wont help your Gyarados weakness, believe it or not uxie actually does ok and can tank over stuff, like as said, your Gyarados weakness.

    Hidden power breeding guide.

That's too much for me to read, I will just ask a friend to do it for me who is good with calculating IVs. He's much better than me at competitive battling too.

For the most part I've just restated what D_A said yes. However every one else here will just resay it as well.

I obviously didn't completely ignore Dark Azelf or I wouldn't of said that I was considering getting a more specially offensive Pokémon such as Blissey, rather than Uxie who is purely physical. I also said in the description that I was going to replace Icefang with Aqua Tail. I also said I would take the Salamence information into account but it needs to keep Brick Break to be a threat to Blissey.

As of now, money and items are the main problem. I don't have enough shards to teach these moves that you're suggesting but I will soon, I am getting money now and so far I have made £500,000. I will need alot if I plan on making this Magnezone that was suggested and taken into account.

I think Azelf is fine without Hidden Power Fighting because it won't be a lead for much longer as I am considering this new line up:

    -Swampert
    -Magnezone
    -Salamence
    -Blissey
    -Azelf
    -Tyranitar

For now, please could you view my other Pokémon and suggest a more appropriate lead. I'm aware the Focus Sash on Salamence isn't a smart idea but lets forget that and move on to the final topic; Machamp. Tyson has Guts, I usually switch into him when I see a Blissey or Utility Pokémon in order to take on the status. I think the current moveset is fine, it is smogon reccomended and so were the EVs. Machamp is strong, obviously has good IVs and can 1hko any Salamence, Gyarados, Gliscor or even bulky Rayquaza with ease.

If you're just going to repeat yourself and not consider the other Pokémon not in the team then I don't know what to say, Uxie obviously doesn't belong in that team as it is since Uxie is still fairly weak as a special sponge compared to Blissey. Teaching Uxie Thunderbolt would be interesting but Uxies base special attack stat isn't all that great so I could easily change Blisseys moveset to: Thunderbolt, Icebeam, Softboiled, Toxic if need be.

As for now, going to try get a Timid Azelf and possibly a Jolly Larvitar if I have the time.

I also said I would take the Salamence information into account but it needs to keep Brick Break to be a threat to Blissey.

Yeah when you get Outrage please use that because it does MORE to blissey than a super effective brick break.

I think Azelf is fine without Hidden Power Fighting because it won't be a lead for much longer as I am considering this new line up:

Fine, but you are walled by Heatran and Tyranitar utterly and lose your Azelf for nothing from the latter due to Pursuit. At the very least use Grass Knot >> T-Bolt.

So you put swampert >> machamp, ok...

Really sash is a crappy item especially on the same team as tyranitar =/ lol. Its also negated by SR and anything, 99 times/100 there are better items and in this case CB is 9000000000000 times better on mence. Really sash is useless on everything bar leads.

Bliss adds nothing tbh, Gyarados utterly destroys you. After a dragon dance it outspeeds and OHKO's your whole team, at least Uxie was doing something useful in that regard being able to keep them at bay (swampert is 2hko'd but cant do anything in return). (Magnezone is outrun too).

Put a counter >> Blissey please. Something like that hp electric specs vappy could work > it at the very least.

Although then that brings the problem of 3 choice users on one team which is troublesome and so many pokemon choiced is asking to get set up on, so you could use a simple LO on maggy.

    Pert
    Specs Vappy
    CB Mence
    DD Tar
    LO Zone
    Azelf

What does Vappy stand for? Vaporeon? For a Gyarados counter I could use my Pikachu possibly? Although NU it can one hit KO Blissey and alot of other Pokémon. If not then I will get to work on this 'Vappy' if it is Vaporeon.

Wtf pikachu is frail and outsped and OHKO'd after a DD lol

Yes it is Vaporeon, in the second spoiler you said you have one with hp electric.

Pikachu isn't frail. It can outspeed Gyarados because it's Hasty which boosts its speed. It has max speed EVs and isn't a weak Pokémon even though most people judge it as weak because it's NU.

As for Vaporeon, I will consider adding it but its stats aren't all that great. I think Vaporeon could stand upto a Gyarados because it has alot of defense and hp, though. I also have my HP Fighting Glaceon for countering T-Tar?

Edit: The Gyarados I tested Pikachu against might of not been EV trained as I battled on serebii Wi-Fi chat. It still outsped and one hit KOd it, though.

Yes and Gyarados outspeeds it after a Dragon Dance, read my last post closer and yes it is frail, extremely.

You seem not to be able to grasp the concept of a counter, a counter (or check) must be able to switch into what its supposed to be countering at little risk to itself. Which means it must be able to switch in to take a hit from it.

Glaceon gets lol'd at by T-Tars stone edge and Pikachu gets lol'd at by everything Gyarados carries.

Where in complete contrast vaporeon CAN take a hit from Gyarados and in the same vein Swampert CAN take a hit from Tar.

If you're mentioning counters then I could say that my Machamp is strong enough to survive damage from both Gyarados and Tyranitar and 1HKO them both. He has Thunderpunch and Crosschop, remember?

Swampert is deffinately going in my team, please tell me if you have any new Pokémon reccomendations to the new team. Swampert will ofcourse, be the lead and a Pokémon that is physically defensive and bulky.

Suggest Pokémon to me, I need to still get this HP Fire Magnezone. I'm terrible at IVs still, lol. That guide is very complex and hard to understand. Also considering an Electrivire possibly. As for now, team updated with suggestions from my friend who said Blissey was awesome after it 1HKOd his Salamence and Dragonite. Also, I need to get more shards to teach these platinum move tutor moves...

Thats not a counter Thats a check. Though after a DD you will be feeling some pain with Waterfall possibly OHKO'ed.

TTar's stone edge does more than you give it credit. Switching into CBTTar stone edge is dangerous enough as is. Atleast pert can some what take it and check him out of the field.

There is no getting better at IV's you breed until you have what you need. So over complicating it is just wasting your time really.

Newsflash: A Once Dragon-Danced, Life Orb Gyarados OHKO's Machamp almost all of the time with Stealth Rock down.
    574 Atk vs 196 Def & 353 HP (80 Base Power): 327 - 385 (92.63% - 109.07%)
    Here's proof.

Firstly, we don't need to see your other pokemon.

    Secondly, Swampert needs some EVs.
You could run the standard spread, which is 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Atk, or think of a new one based on what you need it to do.

Thirdly, Bold Blissey is not as good anymore. Running a Calm Nature with 40 HP / 252 Def / 216 SpD is definitely the best spread for Blissey nowadays. Running max defence and a bold nature is a bit redundant because of Blissey's really poor defence even with its huge HP.

Who the heck uses Bold on Blissey. Calm please.

Mixpert lead is better then the physical variant.

    Swampert@ Relaxed
    240 HP / 212 Def / 52 SpAtk
    -Ice Beam
    -Earthquake
    -Roar / Waterfall
    -Stealth Rock

Dyanmic Punch >>> Cross Chop, 100% confusion rate is good =]

Jolly >>> Adamant for Tyranitar because the speed will let him outspeed more Pokemon after a DD.

You really want Timid >>> Modest on Azelf else he'll be at the mercy at faster threats.

Putting Fire Fang on Mence won't serve as a check for Scizor, CB Scizor KO's him with Bullet Punch after SR. Similar story for SDScizor =/ I'd replace Azelf for Rotom-H. He'll also check Gyarados =]

Just for the record, Dynamic Punch and Cross Chop have the same power.

I recommend Scarf Rotom>>Azelf. It provides revenge killing as well as the opportunity to burn and trick the scarf away which can be very helpful. It also counters Gyarados, Lucario and Scizor provided that you can switch him in before the opponent racks up any Dragon Dance/Swords Dance.

    Rotom-h@ Choice Scarf
    108 HP / 176 SpA / 224 Spe
    Jolly

    Overheat
    Thunderbolt
    Will-o-wisp
    Trick

Quite a handy set that I use in majority of my teams.

    *Sigh*

As i said before blissey does nothing for this team. Please put vappy >> it or you are utterly destroyed by gyarados who OHKO's machamp not only with a Dragon Danced Life Orb Waterfall but with Bounce too (which is getting alot more common from what ive seen lately) and the rest of your team is OHKO'd too.

And you are still scizor weak, removing zone was a bad idea imo.

    Me earlier said:
    Pert
    Specs Vappy
    CB Mence
    DD Tar
    LO Zone
    Azelf

This would prolly be the best team imo in terms of covering weaknesses and synergy.

I think you guys are forgetting that I am using the actual game, not Shoddy. In either case, I have started training this Rotom-H but I still need to find someone to make it a Rotom-H as it's a regular Rotom at this time. Also, I am still trying to get a Magnezone so don't think I didn't take your advice into account.

I've been playing Pokémon Colleseum all weekend because my Internet went down. As for now, I am going to add a Rotom-H and possibly replace Blissey - I read what you said on my friends computer. I'm not sure what my new lineup will be but I am guessing something like this.

-Swampert (Possibly a Mixpert if I can get a Ditto to breed my current Swampert)
-Rotom-H (I still need to get it turned into heat forme)
-Modest Azelf (Timid Azelf if I have time to train)
-Machamp (Keeping current moveset, it has Guts and I usually switch in when they send out Bliss for status)
-Vaporeon / Suicune (May train a Suicune, been pondering a Calmcune for some time now...)
-Salamence / Tyranitar (Don't know if I can get a Jolly Larvitar unless I can find a Ditto)

Once I have a Ditto I can get to breeding, it's much harder to get all these new moves when you're low on shards. I do have alot of TMs but I only have 4 Star Pieces and a few shards left. Taught Salamence Aqua Tail today too.
