Rate my team :D

Rhydon is actually a great tank in ADV, the CB version nails skarm on the switch with focus punch. But now that we have rhyinferior...

I say you should put in claydol. It's a great spinner and ties the loose ends of skarmbliss, as Richard pointed out.

I've seen you talk about ADV. But does it mean "Advanced"?

Gotta love the spinner. Claydol in for sure....

Another Harsh one... But that's cool. It's what people like me live for. Getting crit on ourselves and learning. I'm not saying I'm not that good. I have been trying to come with new teams and better training habits, but with college and work, I get lost in the sauce (Don't ask). I know some of my pokejargon, but not everything is clear anymore.

As for the comment on not giving advice, though it hurts for someone to say that, I have to respect that opinion as well.

All and all, see where I'm coming from and don't be so quick to judge. You might like what you see...

First off, Claydol FTW!

Second, I don't mean never give advice. Just hold off till ya refresh yourself.

Also, before you give your creative set, give out the original stanard set. Not that yours is bad, but the proven standard comes first.

I didn't realize I was harsh. I thought I was nice. My bad, sorry.

Itachi, ADV=Advance...3rd gen...yeah.

IF you're gonna use claydol, isn't the set...rapid spin, EQ, Ice beam, rest? Think that's it...but yeah, claydol is the pwnfulness.

haha, I've been using Claydol since I first started playing competitively... and I can't help but give myself the ego that I might have started the Claydol revolution in this generation. XD

Claydol would help this team out so much. If you give him Ice Beam, he tends to fair well against Dragons too, like Garchomp.

After that, the only thing that could cause this team trouble is Tauntrados, and Kingdra is bulky enough to go head to head with that beast IF she has Hidden Power [Electric]. Otherwise, you're in for a hell of a battle. Milotic also tends well against Tauntrados with Hidden Power [Electric]... but I'm not trying to turn this into my team here. ;)

EDIT:

Claydol @ Leftovers
Relaxed Nature/[Bold Nature]
EVs: 236 HP, 136 Atk/[SpAtk], 108 Def, 30 SDef
- Earthquake/[Earth Power]
- Ice Beam/Psychic
- [Rest]/Explosion
- Rapid Spin

That's the usual set... Bold Nature and the EVs into SpAtk if you use Earth Power, otherwise I tend to prefer them in Attack with Earthquake, so he has a fighting chance against Tyranitar. Ice Beam is generally more helpful, but Psychic is to blast any incoming Gengar that tries to block a Rapid Spin. Rest and Explosion is debatable, but since you do indeed have a cleric in Blissey, Rest would be helpful. Especially if you run a Relaxed Nature. If you choose to use Explosion, always go with a Relaxed nature, so your Attack isn't cut.

Oh, and even if you do use Relaxed with Earthquake, you could always put those 136 EVs into Special Attack anyway, if you're worried about fatally Ice Beaming Garchomp and/or Salamence. It's all up to preference.

I happen to use kingdra on one of my netbattle teams...gyarados is never prepared to get burnt by HP electric. Kingdra really does beat it well. Of course, that's ADV, but it holds true to 4th gen.

Except some people run Salac Wacan Berry in 4th gen.

No biggie... Anyhow, PM for more info, I'm just getting on mine and looking at my Leafeon...

Actually, his set is the Standard. And he's meant to be a Wall, not a bolt-beamer. Thunder Wave would be more useful.

You like finding ways to degrade me....right?

Blissey can be a Bolt-Beamer. A very good Bolt-Beamer to be honest!

But that wasn't my intention so I don't know where you are going there. =/

Also, standard set has flaws. Not every pokemon set has to be standard.

No. I just don't like the idea of Blissey being a Bolt-Beamer. But i've seen people try it. So it may be more common then I think.

Ok so Claydol is in over Bronzong but then I'll need to consider switching Blissey out for Milotic, but would Milotic be good for setting up the rain for Kingdra.

And all those about Kingdra and Houndoom obviously have never used/seen one be used well. Those movesets that I use have been tested throughly on Wifi, and most people don't expect the Hidden Power that they are carrying (Infernape vs Houndoom, Houndoom goes first and KOs with HP Ground after NP :P)

I chose X Scissor over U Turn on Scyther so I didn't lose the SD after every STAB Bug attack.

Another idea, I might switch Skarmory to Donphan, with Stealth Rock, Rapid Spin, EQ and Ice Shard/Rest... That way I could keep Bronzong in as my weather setter, and with the Reflect support, Donphan becomes more suited to be a wall, then just the normal tank that he is used for (And yes, if I use Rest, I will abuse Rest as much as possible)

Scyther@Focus Sash
Technician
Jolly Nature
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP
-X Scissor
-Aerial Ace
-Reversal
-Swords Dance

Aerial Ace is killer on this thing, thanks to Tech and STAB, reaches a BP of 135 ;), that hurts alot that don't resist it. Scyther over Scizor, because I hate the speed drop in the evo, and plus Scyther has always been better IMO.
AMEN BROTHER. AMEN.

Focus Sash if leading with Scyther (and/or no item clause in effect), so I can pull off a SD before the sweep, might get Night Slash over Quick Attack for those pesky Gengar leads, although a STAB might be sufficient to take down the non Focus Sash varieties
Jolly Nature because Scyther begs for the speed. Also, Reversal is helpful for a starting assault.

Houndoom@Focus Sash
Flash Fire
Timid Nature
EVs: 252 Sp Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP
-Flamethrower
-Dark Pulse
-Hidden Power Ice
-Nasty Plot

Ahh, Houndoom has been through some exciting battles in the past, some victories, some crushing defeats. But I like using favourites over OUs any day.
HP Ice works better than HP Ground because of the fact that it wrecks Dragon Types. And Gliscors.

Kingdra@Choice Specs
Swift Swim
Modest Nature
EVs: 252 Sp Atk, 252 HP, 6 Spd
-Surf
-Draco Meteor
-Ice Beam/Hidden Power Electric
-Dragon Pulse

This thing is so fast in rain, it doesnt even need the boost, so instead the Special Attack gets a boost through Nature & Specs, in which these things can destroy things that don't resist or have massive HP/Sp Def (Blissey grrr)

Surf and Draco Meteor are the only moves I have really used on him in battles, the others are just what I feel is needed more. But even then there are too many choices
I kind of like this one.

Bronzong@Damp Rock
Levitate
Sassy Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 168 Def, 88 Sp Def
-Gyro Ball
-Hypnosis
-Rain Dance
-Reflect/Light Screen/Rest

The rain dance setter, with this thing Kingdra doesnt need to have Rain Dance in it's moveset to cause problems, thus allowing CSpecs to work on him. Split the Def EVs so that with the Nature boost, the end result is the same amount in stats.
Well since Bronzong baits in the Infernape, and you're Rain Dancing to switch Kingdra in, this looks pretty good.
I'm willing to anticipate that a Spec'd + Rain Danced + STABed Surf hurts blissey loads.
(come to think of it, it does slightly more than Draco Meteor!!!)

Skarmory@Leftovers
Impish Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 6 Atk
-Drill Peck
-Whirlwind
-Roost
-Spikes
Skarmory.

[joke]Blissey@Choice Band
Serene Grace
Adament Nature
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP
-Iron Tail
-Double Edge
-Earthquake
-Focus Punch

There is no power beyond that of Choice Band Blissey!!![/joke]
;)

Blissey@Leftovers
Bold Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 6 Sp Def
-Thunderwave
-Aromatherapy
-Softboiled
-Seismic Toss

Because I was lacking an idea for walls, and SkarmBliss works well together.
I kinda like my Blisseys with Ice Beam. Dunno why though.

So yeah, this is my latest team, please give it a rate and suggest how to improve this team, Skarm and Bliss can be swapped out for other walls that would better suit the team, I was literally drawing blanks after 4 pokemon and couldn't think of any better fillers at the time.
I'd probably drop Skarm, and add another Physical Sweeper since Scyther is your only one. You could use Stealth Rock on Bronzong over the planned Light Screen / Reflect if you want. Up to you.

Team looks pretty good. Though I do worry about Scarf Attackers, as well as a Quick Feet Ursaring assaulting it.

Ok well I've thought alot about the team, and figured that while Skarmory is a good physical wall, I might replace it with Donphan, so I still have a nice wall, but also some back up physical attacks to launch for when I lose Scyther.

Donphan@Leftovers
Impish Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 6 HP
-Earthquake
-Ice Shard
-Rapid Spin
-Rest

If I do use this, Bronzong will have Reflect as I lack a proper physical wall, so adding the extra defence to everything helps make up for that. But then I am torn between the Damp Rock or Light Clay for Bronzong's item.

Also I have only used Kingdra against one Blissey, and it took it down to about 1/3 of it's health in one shot, not too shabby since it's not SE against it.

EDIT: Edited the first post with a couple of changes, this team is looking pretty sweet
