Hiya, new member. Only bought B/W 2 last week, but I've already beat the game. Still feeling rusty - I missed on B/W 1, and A LOT has changed. :/

Now, I'm looking for competitive play with you, cool people. Sorry if this not the proper forum to post this topic. Please, move if so, dear mods.

This is how my current team looks like:

    Arcanine:

Extreme Speed: Good physical power and accuracy. Why not?
Flare Blitz: STAB. << Just learnt this term recently. lol
Sunny Day: Double fire power and set up for v
Solarbeam: To deal with all weaknesses.

    Golduck:

    Surf: STAB.
Ice Beam: To deal with Grass weakness.
    Psychic: Type coverage.
Dig: To deal with Electric weakness. Though, I'm feeling it's unneeded since Surf would prolly do more damage in most cases. :/ (Mystic Water)

    Ampharos:

Thunder: Currently testing it in place of Thunderbolt since I got the latter TM. My statistics sheet shows that it hits 89% of the time. What do you think?
    Signal Beam: For Grass.
    Power Gem: Type coverage.
Light Screen: I dare you to touch me!

    Tyranitar:

    Stone Edge: STAB.
    Earthquake: Doh.
    Crunch: STAB.
Thunderbolt/Fire Punch: Still debating. Prolly gon settle with the latter due to base stats.

    Zoroark:

Foul Play: STAB. I should prolly go Special, but this move won me over vs the E4.
Extrasensory: Deals with Fighting weakness. Maybe swap for Hidden Power?
Flamethrower: For Steel and bug types.
Nasty Plot: Can't think of a better option for this slot.

    Metagross:

    Meteor Mash: STAB.
    Earthquake: For Fire weakness.
    Psychic: STAB.
    Ice Punch: For Ground weakness.

    Whatcha think? :)

This is an in-game team, yes? If you're going competitive, this looks like an OU team to me, given the presence of Starmie and Tyrantiar. Also, please provide EVs.

SolarBeam works off of Arcanine's lower Special Attack stat in comparison to its physical Attack. That being said, Arcanine should only use Special moves in a Sunny Day set, which isn't really needed for this team:
    -Flare Blitz
    -ExtremeSpeed
    -Wild Charge/Crunch
    -Close Combat/Morning Sun
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 72 HP/252 Atk/8 SDef/176 Spe
    Item: Life Orb
    Ability: Intimidate/Flash Fire

Golduck isn't good in general because of its average stats. Starmie, Azumarill or Kingdra are better options over it:

    Starmie:
    -Surf/Hydro Pump
    -Psyshock/Thunderbolt
    -Ice Beam
-Rapid Spin (clears away opposing hazards)
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Leftovers
    Ability: Natural Cure

    Azumarill:
    -Waterfall
    -Aqua Jet
    -Return/Double-Edge
    -Superpower/Ice Punch
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Spe
    Item: Choice Band
    Ability: Huge Power

    Kingdra:
    -Dragon Dance
    -Waterfall
    -Outrage
    -Substitute/Draco Meteor
    Nature: Adamant/Lonely
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers/Lum Berry/Life Orb
    Ability: Swift Swim/Sniper

    Or
    -Hydro Pump/Surf
    -Draco Meteor
    -Dragon Pulse
    -Hidden Power (Electric)/Surf
    Nature: Modest/Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Specs
    Ability: Swift Swim/Sniper

Ampharos isn't good in the UU environment either because it's slow in comparison to other Electrics. While I'd suggest Heat Rotom, it shares weaknesses with Arcanine, so I'll suggest Electivire or Jolteon, who are faster than it:
    Electivire:
    -Wild Charge
    -Flamethrower
    -Earthquake
    -Ice Punch
    Nature: Hasty/Naive
    EVs: 248 Atk/36 SAtk/224 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Expert Belt
    Ability: Motor Drive

    Jolteon:
    -Thunderbolt
    -Volt Switch
    -Hidden Power (Ice/Grass)
    -Signal Beam/Shadow Ball
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Choice Specs
    Ability: Volt Absorb

Tyranitar's Sand Stream hinders the rest of the team, and none of your Pokemon are immune to the effects of Sandstorm. Terrakion provides a strong offensive presence while not hindering the rest of the team with Sandstorm:
    -Stone Edge
    -Close Combat
    -X-Scissor
    -Sacred Sword/Rock Slide/Quick Attack
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Band/Choice Scarf

    Or
    -Swords Dance
    -Rock Polish
    -Stone Edge
    -Close Combat
    Nature: Jolly/Adamant
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Air Balloon

    Or
    -Stealth Rock
    -Swords Dance/Taunt
    -Stone Edge
    -Close Combat
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Focus Sash

    Or
    -Substitute
    -Swords Dance
    -Stone Edge
    -Close Combat
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers/Life Orb/Rock Gem/Salac Berry

Zoroark has absolutely no use for Foul Play. That move only sees use on Pokemon with weak offensive stats, like Sableye or Umbreon. It's better off specially based (or mixed to catch opponents off guard):
    -Nasty Plot
-Dark Pulse (note that you can go to the Lentimas move tutor and teach Zoroark that move)/Night Daze
    -Substitute/Flamethrower
    -Focus Blast
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Focus Sash

    Or
    -Dark Pulse
    -Flamethrower
    -Focus Blast
    -Hidden Power (Ice)/Trick/U-turn
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Specs/Choice Scarf

    Or
    -Sucker Punch
-Low Kick (from Driftveil move tutor)
    -Flamethrower
    -Dark Pulse/Hidden Power (Ice)
    Nature: Naughty
    EVs: 200 Atk/96 SAtk/216 Spe
    Item: Life Orb

    Or
    -Swords Dance
    -Sucker Punch
    -Low Kick
    -Flamethrower/Night Slash
    Nature: Naughty
    EVs: 252 Atk/40 SAtk/216 Spe
    Item: Life Orb

Just saying, this team is weak to Technician Breloom, so I'd suggest finding something else that can deal with it besides Arcanine.
