    Rating System?

If you are registered through the Pokemon Global Link, you can play online battles using a "Rating Mode" or "Random Match" mode at to the Global Terminal inside the Pokemon Center. It will send your battle results to a server and you can compare your results to other players to see who is a strong Trainer. - Pokebeach

    Leaderboards? Oh, heck yes!

I didn't know where to post my exitement so I just made a new thread for discussion.

What do you think about this?

I say it was about the damn time they give us ratings :P

They should rate you on Wins, losses and amount of pokemon you had left.

    Nice addition :D But, I don't have Wi-fi D:

Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver were all made on the same programming engine. Black and White are made on a different one. Before Platinum it was legal to make something just WEP, but now you have to make it for every type of internet security. Because all of the 4th gen was on the same engine they were exempt from this rule.

Black and White, just like the DSi, are required to and will support WPA so you can finally have Wifi.

Yeah Hackers and Japanese people FTW... <.<

i'm happy if that's true, but i don't want people to see my potentially horrible stats when i start wifi battling...

    Edit: 150 posts, cool!

If there's a leader, it'll cause some real insecurity, for me :/

Just like the Battle Tower rankings, I fear this too will be abused by people who crave an ego-boost. :/

Why amount? That frankly doesn't show skill. Heck, some of the best players use suicide leads, a very popular option. Stall tries to keep as many out there, while offensive play-styles can lose pokemon rather quickly in hopes of revenge kills.

I fear people will spam Ubers in order to reach the top of the leaderboard. This is why I'd rather request battles than go on a random Wi-Fi battle with some 10-year-old who has an all-Uber team, or somebody with hacked Pokemon.

    I CAN ATTEST TO THIS.

    My UU/NU team sometimes struggles with ubers ;;

But yeah, going with what Beachy said about the whole ego boosts thing. Thats my primary concern. D:
Yeah I'm worried about the ego boosts as well D:
