As some of you may already know, the upcoming format will change soon, and Rayquaza-EX is only a few sets away from the U.S. I was looking at a scan of Rayquaza-EX, I noticed one of its attacks can do 60 damage for each Lightning or Fire energy on it sent to the Discard Pile. The cost of the attack was one Lightning and one Fire. It's another version of Magnezone, but better! As soon as I saw the cost, I instantly thought of adding it to either an Eelektrik deck or a Typhlosion deck. But both of those are huge easy prizes for Pokémon Catcher, so Vileplume was just a thought. Anyway, here's my idea of decks. I just have the Pokémon and Energy list.

    Rayquaza/Eelektrik

    2 Rayquaza EX
    4-3 Eelektrik
    1 Mewtwo EX
    3-1-2 Vileplume
    2 Zekrom

    4 Prism Energy
    8 Lightning Energy
    3 DCE

    Rayquaza/Typhlosion

    2 Rayquaza EX
    4-2-3 Typhlosion
    2-1-2 Vileplume
    2 Reshiram
    1 Mewtwo EX

    4 Prism Energy
    9 Fire Energy
    3 DCE

Please give me any thoughts on these ideas, and whether I should use Eelektrik or Typhlosion. Thanks!

Same! Great minds think alike... Do you think an Emboar/Rayquaza 2nd turn OHKO deck could be possible?

Pokemon ex are about speed, and stage 2's are not speedy. I'd go with eelektric just for that, but there is also the benefit of adding zekroms, which I find do better than reshirams. It's not as devastating to your set up to lose an eelektric as it is a typhlosion; you'll never get another one set up and eelektrics are pretty easy to get going. Trainer locking yourself out of rare candy isn't great for typhlosion either.
