1st Gen Red/Blue Monotype Challenge!

Fun couple of hours doing this so far on my Pikachu Gameboy Colour ^_^

So far:

Restarted game
Chose Charmander (obviously)
Beat Rival (named Sammie, because i like kicking my girlfriends ass at Pokemon in real life, so why not in game) =P
Got the Pokedex
Beat Sammie again
Went through Viridian Forest with ease
Kicked Brock & his Gym's ass with ease.
Went through Mt Moon - Chose Dome Fossil (not that this matters of course).
Went to Nugget Bridge, beat Sammie (again), and completed Nugget Bridge with my Nugget as a reward.
Visited BILL to get the SS Anne ticket and beat all the trainers over his way.
Went to Cerulean's Gym and beat Misty and the other trainers.
Fought Rocket and got DIG as a TM.
Went to Vermillion City, got Bike Voucher, then went and got the Bike.

~Defeated Rival on the way to Elite Four handily
~Did more level Grinding in Viridian Forest; Charmeleon at level 21

- Chose a Bulbasaur. No nicknames.

- Defeated Sammich (used a Potion).

- Retrieved OAK's parcel and got a Pokedex!

- "Borrowed" a Town Map. Pfft, yeah... "borrowing"...

- Bought 10 PokeBalls at Viridian City.

- Found a Potion.

- Caught a Pidgey, Level 2. Nicknamed Miu ("Beautiful Feather", Japanese). (Pokedex: 2)

- Caught a Rattata, Level 2. Nicknamed Fleta ("Swift", English). (Pokedex: 3)

- Deposited Bulbasaur into the box.

- Raised Miu and Fleta to level 10 apiece on Rt. 1.

- And saved...

~Purchased two Fire stones. Evolved Eevee into Flareon
~Defeated every member of Team Rocket in Game Corner
~Actually had a decent fight against Giovanni's Rhyhorn...it took THREE hits
~Obtained Silph Scope from Giovanni
~Plowed through Pokemon Tower, using Growlithe and Flareon
~Obtained HM02 west of Celadon City
~Flew to Vermillion City
~Defeated trainers east of Vermillion with Flareon
~Grinded Flareon to level 38; Learned Ember
~Grinded Growlithe to level 40
~Needless to way, I wrecked everyone in Celadon City Gym

Update:

Went on the SS Anne, kicked everyone's ass without losing any HP
Got cut from the back rubbing thingy (eww...)
Threw Pokeballs at a Bellsprout until it finally became caught (God knows how, my Charmeleon was too strong to attack anything without knocking it out..but yeah).
Nicknamed Bellsprout CUTSLAVE...original, i know.
Went and beat LT SURGE and his Gym buddies
Didnt bother getting Flash, went through Rock Tunnel to Lavender.
Beat all the trainers on the way to Celadon City, caught myself a Vulpix Level 16.
Somewhere along this way, Charmeleon learnt Flamethrower, so i let it evolve into Charizard.
Arrived in Celadon City
Got Evee and evolved it into Flareon.
Bought Takedown and taught it to Flareon.
Trained Vulpix to Level 23.

Anyways...

Got Silph Scope and beat all the Rockets in Celedon.
Beat Sammie (as always) in Pokemon Tower in Lavender
Went down to Fushia City
Took out Koga and fellow gym members
Got Hm03 and Hm04
Beat a lot of trainers-some on the cycle road, a lot on the way to Fushia
Evolved Vulpix into Ninetails.
Gone to Saffron, beat the FIghing Dojo.
Beat a LOT of Rocket grunts in the Silph. Building.
