2nd Gen red Gyarados

Shinies are good because they are very rare to get. The only shiny you get through normal gameplay is that red Gyarados. Any other pokemon you encounter in the wild, even legendaries have a very slim chance of being shiny.

As for Growlithe, you can find one in Route 35, 36, 37, or Route 8. I recommend looking for one in the first 3 routes I mentioned.

if u catch all unknowns something happens and i have shiny gyrados and a shiny donphan, shiny rhyhorn, and shiny pichu

ys it does u get summat i did but ive 4 got wat

Umm... IIRC, in G/S/C, there was the Unown Dex to be unlocked?

I believe if you caught all the unown, you would unlock a "unown mode" for your gameboy printer. You could make unown stickers. Whee.

Wow this thread is going all over the place. x_x

As for Red Gyarados, yeah, he's the same as a regular Gyarados.
I have like 4 red Gyarados's, heh.

Hmmmm is that sarcasm that I'm sensing? :)
Yeah that's the only thing that you get for collecting all of the little buggers. Kinda a rip off if you ask me.

I've got two Red Gyarados. One from the lake and one that I hatched. It's a female. :D

Just different color pokemon...
Red Gyarados are common in CSG

but other different colored pokemon are hard to find...

All it is red & Shiny, but it is cool to have in your party if you don't have a strong water type like Ferliagator or Lapras. Train it good and you'll have a water type powerhouse when you face the elite four or lance hehe. ( Lance is cool )
