Rediscovered Poke

    Hey whats going on Im Nash, mid twenties and I live in Socal. I grew up obsessed with Pokemon since I first saw some toys in a store in China Town as a kid- brought them back to school and it was a hit. Played R/B/Y/G/S/C/Ry/Sp/E then I "grew up" and was too cool for pokes anymore haha. A friend and I recently started played Fire Red and Leaf Green (for him) on our iphones and it has been quite nostalgic revisiting Kanto and in the journey Ive come across this site. So hey!:) I have to setup my profile and get a trainer card, etc.

    I've seen a lot of Pokemon toys in the China Town in NYC but only really bought one. My wallet would cry if I were to buy more haha ugh. It's great that you're back and enjoying Pokemon again! The series is still amazing; it's mostly just us that get older and fall out of it sometimes. I'm glad I've continued to be a big fan since I got into the series at 8 years old. FR/LG are also great games to rekindle your love for the series with as they're super fun and include both Kanto and Johto. .. plus the VS Seeker is so great, easy way to rebattle/train. :3 The boards discussing the first three generations will probably be wonderful for you to start out with here.

    You definitely should catch up with what you've missed (assuming you can)! X and Y are coming out in October which has been hyping all of us a lot. The sixth generation is going to be really, really amazing.

    Unfortunately the only form I have to play is iOS so I cant play past Ry/Sp. From gens 4-5 I really only know the box cover legendaries and the starters, but as far as story/characters/pokes I know nothing. If I could get my hands on a handheld which games are most worth playing?

    Hey, welcome to the community. :D I'm actually the same as you. haha I've rediscovered my love of Pokemon. :D

    Also, I've seen a torrent for a DS emulator for the android OS. Not gonna give out the link, but I think they exist already dude. :o haha
