6th Gen Region Changing for Vivillon / eShop Question

So…I just got my hands on a red Xerneas / Yveltal 3DS XL and decided it was time for my first ever XY playthrough. I've planned my team out and I intended to use Vivillon - Meadow pattern as its pretty in pink, and native to France, the basis of Kalos. But when I went to change my region settings I got a warning about messing up eShop.

So does anyone know, if I change the region, start my save, then change the region back, will I still be able to access eShop? (I'm in UK so its the same continent at least).

I have 3 consoles (2 New 2DS XL as I'm pretty sure I won't care for 3D) so I guess its not a deal-breaker, but I like the sound of having 3 Battle Bond Greninja, 3 Mega Glalie, and 3 sets of Dream Radar legends at some point (also there will be resale value if it still has eShop software, I'm thinking of just downloading as much as I can onto the 4GB SD Card). But want to know what I'm in for rather than worrying (un)necessarily!

An update on this, for future reference [until March 27th lol] - all the naysayers like, you can just change the region back again (although I didn't attempt to open eShop with the region changed) and everything works fine!
