Simple question - what religion do you follow, if any? I've added as many as I can think of, but if I've forgotten yours, feel free to post it in the thread.

Now, before you post, remember that this is a VERY contentious topic, which is why I posted this in OVP rather than OC. This thread is not for going "Lol my
religion is best" or "ur stoopid u bulieve in jeesus". Seriously, pay attention guys cause I'm only saying this once: vote, post if you want to, then gtfo. I'm not trying to be rude, but I've seen how these threads can implode into flaming trolling cesspits so watch it, 'kay? That means:

    - Don't state that your religion or belief system is better than anyone else's.
    - Don't deride anyone else's religion
    - If you're looking to convert people, then jog on.
    - Don't start a debate in here. Not the right place :\

Now, if anyone breaks these important rules, I'm going to issue a stern warning and wag my finger at you. Then you'll be sorry.

    I am secular.
I like the concept of Religion but i just dont believe in any paticular one.
I will make up my mind if my mind is ever clear.
it's a life choice. And possiblly an afterlife choice. I would like to make the right one on a non-influenced mind. If that makes sense.
I like this thread in the sense that there will be no arguement!
If there is i will join in the finger wagging!

I'm Catholic, so does that mean I have to vote that I'm Christian? It's not that I don't like Christianity, my dad is a Christian, it's just, I don't see myself as Christian...

And my Mum is Wiccan, lol! I'm thinking I may become a wiccan but only when I'm older and know more about it from my mother.

Well yes you technically are a christian and Christianity started as catholisism as its base so really Being catholic is being Christian. Then again in turn Christianity started from Judaism.

ST.Peter Founded Christianity and he was the first pope therefore Catholisism is the original demonination.
Prodestant was created by The King of England Henry the 8th
so that he could divorce his wives.

Catholicism is a part of Christianity - a denomination. It's no different from Protestantism or Anglicanism in that respect.

ST.Peter Founded Christianity and he was the first pope therefore Catholisism is the original demonination.

Christianity was, funnily enough, created by Jesus Christ.

Prodestant was created by The King of England Henry the 8th
so that he could divorce his wives.

Wrong. Protestantism started with the Protestant Reformation which began with Martin Luther.

I'm agnostic, in that I believe there is no possible method of proving or disproving the existence of some higher power. I'm unconvinced by either argument, and I think both the for and against arguments have their strengths.

    >_>

Why do people confuse the terms "Christian" and "Protestant," as if to deliberately separate Catholics from Christianity even though Catholicism is, by definition, Christianity in its purest form?

meh, I'm a confirmed Roman Catholic.

    *votes Christian*

...even though Catholicism is, by definition, Christianity in its purest form?

Not here, not now, not here, not now, grr....

Also, what's the deal with the Lightning-ism? As in PC mod Lightning?

Nope dude Jesus was Jewish remember?
I study Religion. St.Peter Founded Christianity thats what i learned.
    However.
There is many debates as to wheter Jesus,Paul,Peter or John actually founded it.
    Have a look Here
You will see that there are many different views.

Suprisingly i find Islam a lot more clear than Christianty as i have studied it in more depth

As for your view on prodestantism i agree that you may not be wrong however.
Lutherism was created by Martain Luther. Which is a branch of prodestantism.
Theres more details here but i wouldn't fully rely onn the source
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protestant

Or even Peter Waldo.... People say he started it...
But as you say There's no real way of saying whats right because nobody knows! ^_^
We only have our own views

Nice try--Eastern Orthodox is the closest we've got to Pauline Christianity...

    I'm Lutheran.

How do you "follow" atheism? Atheism is not a religion. It is a lack of a belief in a god, and it's just that simple.

If I do follow anything it would be secular humanism.

Atheism is a religion in a sense.
    Two definitions:

    1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
    2. a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects.

The set of fundamental beliefs are that there's nothing to believe in. That's generally agreed upon, right? Omit the "esp.", "usually" and "often" parts in the first one, and there you go. Just define it as nothing and/or just there. In my opinion, that's pretty hopeless...

    kthnx, I'm gtfo-ing now. ^^

I was raised an Anglican, but I don't really know or care if some form of higher being exsists, so I personally am agnostic.

I'm a Episcopalian, sub religion to Christianity, but I just consider myself a Christian.

I identify primarily with Shinto but will take note of the native tradition of any region I am in.
I am not, however, a neopagan.

I am currently what would best be described as agnostic, but I reserve the right to change my mind when/if more information becomes available about the nature of existence.

Honestly, I rarely think about religion. When I do, I think of it (and atheism and agnosticism) as something that happens to other people. Religion (or lack thereof) is not my frame of reference.

It's like hearing about a sports tournament happening very far away. I might, if pressed, choose a team to support, but I would just as likely as not forget the tournament was even happening because I attach so little value to it.

I'd have to go with agnostic. Although, I am a baptized catholic, I have limited understanding of the wonders of god. My parents aren't too religious either but I do believe in god... just not in the same way most people do... and I'm not about to discuss my beliefs.
