Rep Are Getting Out Of Hand Now

Meh. I don't care about reputation. I have a lot of it - so what? I didn't ask for it. I think you should turn it off temporarily, and see how it goes. If too many newbies start whining, simply turn it back on again.

I've had only one person ask me for rep since I've been here. They didn't include their full username, so it didn't bother me. Only if people start giving me bad rep for failing to grant their requests would it bother me in the least, lol. Why not simply ignore them? If you don't respond, they'll stop bothering you. ;)

Besides, I think rep is pretty neat.

My opinion is just remove the dang thing altogether, rp use to be a privilege to receive, and for some (a minute amount) it still is. But mostly rep now is just people giving rep to people they like just for the hell of it, just because they're friends, and don't tell me this isn't true, when you see members with a small post count with thousands of rep points

It doesn't really matter if they have a bunch of rep or not. :( If you earned yours, that should keep you happy! Who cares about other people's rep points? :P

You guys make me feel guilty. half of my rep is good, like supporting ppl and that, half I don't even know what they're FOR. ^_^

I think just reset all the rule-breakers to - (something). if they care that much they won't disable rep and it should work. ;)

Exactly. If you dont know what the rep is for, then its not your fault. Its the people who gave it. Just dont follow their example by giving random rep.

Not a good idea. Its not just n00bs who give out useless rep. Its also regular members at PC, so that wouldnt be fair. Rep sometimes is good to give out- to show how members are doing.

Without reading most of the posts in page 2. [ I read bout three? o.o;] You know, I don't see why there should be a big fuss about rep. on these forums. We came here just for being here without thinking about the rep. I don't care about reputation points. It's supposed to be just for the purpose of getting a feeling of being here. =/ Cutting out reps. from members who ask for it, would be unfair. >>; Besides how can you know if they asked for it or not? The admins might have a way, yes, but it's gonna be neckbreaking if they cut out rep. from people. o.o; I mean there is 3000 members here and... aww ... never mind. O.o;

And now, why was this thread made? o.o; Just to complain? Or prove the point that there whiny members here and ask for repution points. =/ In a way, this thread proves to be a way of asking reputation... but I don't have the energy to complain.

In my opinion, if you don't know where I'm going, I'm saying just leave the rep. button alone or stop it. =/ Don't cut out the rep, just cancel the feauture.

O.o, no, this thread was not for any of them reasons, im pointing a state about rep, and I AM NOT asking for rep, and i would never now, im saying that the rep system is turning out to be a fun activity, and its not, its a sign if to how popular a member is, why ask for rep in a situation like this?, rep is nothing now, and because it isn't, i dont really see the whole point of it, why are people still asking for rep, and besides, can you remember who was the creator of the 'put your name as subject' thing?, it was actually me, now i feel that was one of my biggest regrets on PC, but it wouldn't if the rep system was born as a fun activity, and today it is, and shouldn't be.

Guys, i just came online, but im not asking for rep here, but ive already got 60 good rep points from 2 people for posting this, even though i would never request rep in this situation, EVER!, now, i want to get this sorted, somehow..

I think the rep system should be removed completely, as too many people I've seen use it just to spite another user or to boost another user. A form of punishment or favor, they use it for.

but when ppl want rep, and give you rep to ask for it, they normally state their username so u know who to give it back to :\
it's its anonymous then it's probably genuine
