So I want to use a completely new tileset but I can't get it to work. I've tried following Le pug's tutorial but I've still not had any luck. I can edit the existing tileset and replace it without any problems- but I want a completely new tileset with a different palette, not just additions to the original.
I update Pal 6 and click Picture -> Load tileset 1 which shows no changes then Picture -> Load new blocks which results in a garbled mess with no recognisable tiles. I'd post an image but it's not letting me. I've tried using A-Map 1.92 and 1.95 and it makes no difference.

If anyone has any ideas about what the problem might be I'd really appreciate some advice right now, I've been scratching my head for hours! Alternatively, does anyone know of a tool that automates tileset replacement? Haven't been able to find anything. Thanks!

EDIT: Okay, now it's not letting me open the saved tileset from titleEditorAdvance and giving me the following error: ERROR: (FPImageException) Wrong image format
This happens regardless of whether I save the tileset as BMP, PNG or DIB. The dimensions are unchanged and it's saved in 16 bit colour.
EDIT 2: So I'm REALLY confused now. I realised that the block editor in le pug's video was different to mine so I downloaded 1.92 again and it looks like the version le pug is using- except it will only let me import DIB files now, which is not what happens in the tutorial! I'm really lost, any suggestions?
EDIT 3: It's now telling me that any DIB files I create with TileHelperAdvance are invalid. So, my revised question; which exact version of A-Map 1.92 should I be using and what file formats? Thanks in advance!

Fixed, please lock the thread. The problem was solved by using palette 8.

Okay, no, that wasn't what fixed it. I now have a .DIB and .PAL file that load but I can't figure out why and I can't replicate my success. 1.95, stock ROM... There must be some factors I'm not taking into account.

Yep, did that with Infran Viewer. I've managed to get it working now, no idea what I was going wrong before!
