[Discussion] Replacing Video Game with TCG, question

Hey guys

I recently made my return to pokemon! Started with the modern switch games but i just couldnt get into it ,i also heard apperently modern switch poke games have been bad lately?
Anyway i thought "am i done with pokemon"?
I started watching the show and got hooked on it again so guess not!

I then went out to the store and bought 12 packs lol of boosters opened them up and wow!
Cards are pretty now
So yea i think imma replace the video games with the pokemon tcg and collect and also learn how to play!

Anyway can you guys show me a way so i can learn the game?
I tried watching a guide on youtube but it was a bit complicated.

Anyone else like me tho that rather play the card game over modern switch Pokémon games

I first learned how to play from those old "Let's Play" bonus discs, but nowadays Pokémon TCG Online is a good way to introduce players to the game.
