    is reputation ever going to come back? Im just asking cause I know it was removed cause it was causing problems, but didnt they also say that they were going to bring it back after a while?
     
    I think it's going to stay gone. If we bring it back then everyone will run their rep up and all that like it was before. After it being gone this long no one really misses it.
     
    Whatever the case, I wouldn't like to see it here.

    It caused a stir at another forum I know of, and people started asking questions as to why their karma (the SMF equivalent) mysteriously plunged into the red. We even had a few members there quit because of a -1 karma figure.

    I say don't bring it back; if it caused problems, I shudder to think what else it will bring about.
     
    I don't remember anyone ever mentioning bringing it back. o_o

    And, yeah, we removed it because it was... you know, causing unnecessary problems, and those are just going to be stirred right back up if we bring it back. o_O
     
    Too much controversy into it, especially people who abuse it for their personal gain as well as badmouthing and abusing other people anonymously. Seriously, we don't need too much trouble here...>>
     
    Gah....I've been to some forums that have Reputations....
    It does cause problems, and I don't think that PokeCommunity really needs it...
    This place is awesome enough without it, and if they got it, it would only be cool for members whose rep. was high... Everyone else would probably complain, and think they're horrible people or something.... o___o That depends on the person, of course... but its happened on other forums...

    Well back when we removed it we said that it will be on a test run. I think most knew it was going to be gone for good.

    Seeing how everyone gets along without it I think it'll stay gone.
     
    Reputation was a neat thing to have, but yeah...there are just too many problems surrounding it for it to ever be safely brought back. :/ Not only was there the issue of high reps for no reason, and of people complaining about bad reps and whatnot, but also the issue of people asking/begging for reputation even when told not to. I don't see it coming back anytime soon, either.

    There were those that left PC when rep was taken away as well. In my opinion, we're better off without them. Those aren't the kind of members we want around the community. All in all, I don't think anyone really misses rep too much. It's just more trouble than it's worth.
     
    I don't believe so. Like many of the uppers before me in this thread have said, it was and is too much of a hassle. Most members would start rep trading right away to get it back up.
     
    The reputation craze was a reason why I never joined PokéCommunity in the past. It was sick how so many people thrived off the reputation system on this forum back in the day, and I for one am glad it's gone, and hope it never returns.

    The staff are going to like checking rep for nearly 3000 members.
     
    It would be nice to have a reputation reporting plug-in, if we had reputation enabled. But, indeed. I also think the reputation function should stay gone.

    Sure we could check it, but it'd be a full time job. It's not just a member here and there getting rep, if it came back then rep would be up and down all over PC. It's just something no one can keep up with with every single day.
     
    I was a member of PC way back when we still had rep.. Personally I am glad that it is gone, it caused way too many problems and too many people abused it. I really didn't pay attention to the rep system while it was here, but I remember that some people would randomly give me bad rep for absolutely nothing.. And the banner/avvy makers always asked, er, said that 'rep would be a nice thing to give as thanks' just way too many people using rep for all the wrong reasons.. I'm glad rep will never come back.

    I highly doubt they will. It was to much of a nuisance.
