mono Psychic without Xatu just isn't a mono Psychic

Indeed. well, I would need an ingame team in emerald. I don't have acces to trading, to any other game, I can only use a TM as I find it in the game, I can't multiply it. And also the same with move tutors. ah, yes, and without breeding (never done it before and don't have the nerves to start doing it now). I started with Blaziken, so he will be the fire/fighting type. If you can, add a psychic type and a water type (water is expendable, don't know if it's worth it ingame, so if you find something better, add it instead). In rest, anything. And if I may ask, is it worth it to use Shedinja?

Hope I don't give you too much headache :)

Breeding isn't that hard. In fact, it's the only way you'll be able to get some very important attacks for your Pokemon. Without breeding moves, your team just won't be that good. I'll follow your guidelines, but do know that without breeding, Pokemon won't be as effective.

Regice @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 156 HP / 176 Def / 136 SAtk / 40 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)

- Spikes
- Steel Wing

Gardevoir (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 200 Spd / 252 SAtk / 58 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Reflect
- Thunderbolt

Salamence (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 136 Spd / 120 SAtk
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Aerial Ace
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast

Milotic (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 212 HP / 172 Def / 28 Spd / 96 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Surf
- Toxic

Shedinja isn't worth it. I should know, because I've trained one before. Every Elite 4 member has something against Shedinja so training it up is going to be very tough. Sidney has Dark attacks, Phoebe has Ghost attacks, Glacia has Hail, Drake has Flying and Sandstorm, and Wallace has Toxic and Leech Seed.

Thanks for the team aragornbird, but i have a few points to state:
I know I won't have very much control over my team without breeding, but I won't start breeding until I clean up the Elite Four at least once or twice and finish the rest of the secrets. That includes catching the ubers and legends. The only uber I would catch before that would be probably Rayquaza, but I won't use him in my team because it would be to easy with a level 70 uber, so I would need something in Regice's place. Also, I know Milotic is the strongest water pokemon (after Suicune, probably) but I don't think I will try to catch Feebas, I have very little patience fishing :P. Another water or something else would be nice.
About the moves, i don't know for sure if I can get them all ingame, probably I can, but I'm sure that I won't find 6 Leftovers, and I have no ideea on how to affect the natures and the EVs (except maybe with breeding).
In general, the team looks good, but if you could try and make it more ingame like and less competitive battling like, I would appreciate it.
Sorry if I am being a pain in the a$$..

All of those moves are either Level-Up, TMs, or Move tutors so they're all obtainable without breeding.

You can buy many Leftovers in the Battle Frontier, and you can get some free ones in other places in-game.

Emerald team is...

Milotic (hypnosis set)
Flygon (CBgon and I actually got HP [Bug]=D)
Skarm (Standard set)
Swampert (Protect set)

I need a non curselax set for my snorlax cause i dont wanna curse and Synchronize dont say stalker cause thats onli last resort as i hate stalking

I need a good SubPuncher cause i dont have the patience to perfectly set McGar even though it pwns. The subpuncher should work well with the teams balance. I thought Dusclops but its HP is a turn off.

I need an "Incredible Trio" of the pokes on my team for the battle frontier. Which three work best??

Info Request...What are the movesets and pokes of, but not the EV's(unless you really want to), a groudon team and a kyogre team? The most typical groudon\kyogre ones preferably.

~*^*~~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~~*^*~

Ice_blade:

Snorlax can be a SubPuncher by itself:

Snorlax @Leftovers
Substitute
Focus Punch
Body Slam/Return
Shadow Ball

Or, like any physical attacker, it can be a CBer:

Snorlax @Choice Band
Return
Shadow Ball
Focus Punch
Earthquake

For the BF, Flygon + Snorlax + Skarmory work nicely. Start off with Flygon, Snorlax provides protection against Water and Ice attacks, and Skarmory plays the role of physical wall (plus there are lots of Pokemon who use Toxic).
Be sure to adjust your team when it's time to challenge a Frontier Brain. For instance, Tucker uses Swampert, Charizard, and Salamence so you'll want to use Milotic during that round.
For info on all the Frontier Brains, consult wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frontier_Brain

It's great, thanks. :) Thanks alot.

BTW, which one would be better ingame, Rhydon or Aggron? And what move set would suit them both?

Last edited:
I'd rather have Rhydon personally. Both Rhydon and Aggron have double weaknesses (Rhydon to Water and Grass, Aggron to Fighting and Ground), so they are a little difficult to use.

Rhydon@Leftovers
EV: max HP, rest in Att/Def
Nature: Brave (+ Att, - Speed)
Substitute
Focus Punch
Rock Blast/Rock Slide
Earthquake

I like Rock Blast for the sub-breaking, but whatever takes your fancy. You want Rhydon to go last to set up Substitute. If Rhydon has 21 or higher IV in HP, he can pull off 404 HP, which means moves like Seismic Toss take two turns to break Substitute.

I dunno why, but I always think Choice Band when it comes to Aggron:

Aggron@Choice Band
EV: HP/Att/Def
Nature: Adamant (+Att,- Sp Att)
Iron Tail
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Brick Break

Indeed they have double weaknesses, but Rhydon has special weaknesses while Aggron has physical ones. That means that while Rhydon's weaknesses could easily kill him, Aggron has the huge defense to at least minimalize the damage taken, so I'd rather have him. And CB because he needs it :P. Thanks for the moves.

Rhydon is more of a beast IMO, as any kind of special sweeper WILL take a hard hit on the switch, and Rhydon has the defenses to take physical hits like an Earthquake. Aggron, however, is still weak to water, just like Rhydon, but instead of surviving EQs and Brick Breaks, it gets OHKOed by them. Rhydon also has Swords Dance :P

yup, can't beat that one...:) but I already started leveling up Aron...oh well, I wanted some kind of new poke in my team anyway, and the dude just looks so kewl :P

Hi!! I would like to request a team... you see, I'm a NetBattle Beginner, and I don't know what team would be most fitting...
I want a team with balance of types, I don't necesarily need legendaries, just a powerful and balanced team that I can handle ^^

Hmm... well since you're new to NB, I'll give you a team that's not necessarily gonna do what teams like Me, Mullet's and Husk's do, but its enough to get a few wins and help you get started. In the mean time, start reading on Mullet's Guide to OU, and Husk's prediction guide.

Flygon (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 28 HP / 252 Atk / 48 Def / 140 Spd / 40 SDef
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Bug]
- Quick Attack / Fire Blast
- Rock Slide

I went for a CB Set with a ScreechFlygon EV feel. Probably needs a bit more HP, but meh. Basically, with Jolly, you'll have enough speed as when you use 252 Spd EVs with Adamant. the defense and SDef EVs are for cutting down on damage you receive from random surfs and HP Grass, or those **** Critical Hitting Rock Slides >_>. Hidden Power Bug is for Celebi, IF you think you can predict it. Otherwise just use Fire Blast over it.

Gengar (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 212 Atk / 176 Spd / 124 SAtk
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Focus Punch
- Ice Punch
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

Skarmbliss counter. Basically, come in, use Sub, and thunderbolt Skarmory, or Focus Punch Blissey.

Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Immunity
EVs: 252 HP / 76 Atk / 40 Def / 140 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Body Slam / Return
- Curse
- Earthquake / Shadow Ball
- Rest

I prefer Thick Fat over Immunity, just to let ya know. Body Slam gives paralysis, while Return does a load of damage, so that's your pick. Earthquake is for Metagross and Tyranitar who like to ruin the fun, while Shadow Ball is for Gengar and Dusclops after you rest from the Will-O-Wisps. This is here to take most of your special attacks btw :)

Milotic (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Hypnosis
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Surf

Just switch this in on a Weezing or Dusclops's first move, and take it from there. If you see anything else trying to use Will-O-Wisp, switch it in here as well.

Forretress (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Atk / 208 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Counter
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Spikes

This your only real counter against Heracross and Tauntridos, since Skarmory and Zapdos aren't here, so use it wisely. I suggest that you use Earthquake first as soon as you switch it in. This is your physical-attack-taker.

Articuno @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 56 SAtk / 40 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Reflect
- Rest
- Roar

I honestly couldn't think of anything else, as this team needed a phazer =/.
Works well with forretress IMO.
