    ResTalk Tyranitar's a beast

Unlike the majority of my other teams up to this point, this one is actually winning a lot more than the others. Though I feel that it could be a lot better really.

    So without further a due.

    [PokeCommunity.com] ResTalk Tyranitar's a beast!

    Tyranitar @ Leftovers
    Sassy Nature (+S.Def – Spd)
    Ability: Sand Stream
    236 HP/ 56 Atk/ 216 S.Def
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk
    - Brick Break
    - Crunch

Leading solely because of lead Azelf and for negating Sashes, though they have been dwindling in usage up to now to Aerodactyl, who forces me out.

Other than that, this is a very beastly special wall, with stats of 400 HP and 479 in special defense, Timid Heatran's Earth Power can't even land a 4HKO on this. Double Screen Rotoms and Azelf have been growing quite popular now, and this provides a great switch in to them and stops their attempts cold with Brick Break.

    [PokeCommunity.com] ResTalk Tyranitar's a beast!

    Gliscor @ Leftovers
    Impish Nature (+Def – S.Atk)
    Ability: Sand Veil
    116 HP/ 176 Def/ 216 Spd
    - Stealth Rock
    - Roost
    - Fire Fang
    - Earthquake

Sets up Stealth Rock, counters Lucario, Breloom and Heracross and to a lesser extent Scizor, Tyranitar, and Metagross. EVs outspeeds neutral Max speed Lucario. Sand Veil hax is fun.

    [PokeCommunity.com] ResTalk Tyranitar's a beast!

    Metagross @ Leftovers
    Adamant Nature (+Atk – S.Atk)
    Ability: Clear Body
    204 HP / 80 Atk / 224 S.Def
    - Bullet Punch
    - Pursuit
    - Ice Punch
    - Explosion

Gengar counter, does a great job of that thanks to it's moveset making sure it's dealt with promptly, Pursuit if it wants to switch out or Bullet Punch if it decide to stay in. Ice Punch takes care of paralyzed Salamence for the revenge kill or those locked into Outrage or for hitting Gliscor or Zapdos switch ins. Goes Boom afterwards to deal with nuisances.

    Vaporeon @ Leftovers
    Bold Nature (+Def – Atk)
    Ability: Water Absorb
    252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 Spd
    - Wish
    - Protect
    - HP Electric
    - Surf

Provides much needed water immunity, Wish support and counters Gyarados and Infernape. Originally Slobrow and Starmie.

    [PokeCommunity.com] ResTalk Tyranitar's a beast!

    Magnezone @ Leftovers
    Timid Nature (+Spd – Atk)
    Ability: Magnet Pull
    156 HP/ 132 S.Atk/ 220 Spd
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk
    - HP Fire
    - Thunderbolt

Traps the ever annoying Skarmory and Scizor switch ins and oprovides a good switch in to Kingdra. The only entry hazard my team really is worried about is Spikes and with this I make sure that any Skarmory or Forretress who don't have Shed Shell fail to set more than 1 layer up. EVs allow it to outspeed all Adamant versions of Scizor and OHKO it with HP Fire.

    [PokeCommunity.com] ResTalk Tyranitar's a beast!

    Hariyama @ Leftovers
    Impish Nature (+Def – S.Atk)
    Ability: Levitate
    76 HP/ 180 Atk/ 252 Def
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk
    - Whirlwind
    - Force Palm

Provides an answer to Ice Beam Tyranitar and Weavile, as well as a switch in to Blissey and Curselax. Can also switch in on Electivire pretty well too. Force Palm for more paralysis support and Whirlwind for bulky stat uppers/ BPers.

My concerns at the moment are Sub and LOCune, LO Kingdra, Ice Punch Machamp, Salamence and Swampert in general.

As you can see there's a lot of room for improvement, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

AAAAAA Infernape weak, but seriously Mix Ape 6-0's you.

What you could do it move all the attack evs on Hariyama into sp.def that way it can take a NP LO Grass Knot.

Another thing is to scarf magnezone so you can at least revenge it too.

    Isnt 3 rest talkers a little....much ? <:

I can tell by the 3 ResTalkers that it's a bulkyoffensive team. I dislike Brick Break on ResTalk Tyranitar honestly. Something like Stone Edge could fit to give a lot more initial power, but if breaking screens is your concern, by all means keep it. I personally like Curse on it, since it makes a fool out of things like Heatran/Zapdos (the latter CAN Pressure stall you out, however).

What I really dislike is the lack of offensive this team has. Metagross is your only true form of offense, and lack of a CB/LO makes it hit not nearly as hard as it could. Still, the team is pretty solid, and hard to crack. Foe stall can pose a huge problem, with no reliable way to stop Toxic Spikes.

The biggest weak of all is a Nasty Plot Infernape. Nasty Plot / Focus Blast / Flamethrower / Grass Knot literally 6-0s you after a Nasty Plot. Hariyama cannot stand up to a Focus Blast, as it does a minimum of 147% after a single boost. Gliscor takes a minimum of 137% from Flamethrower. Slowbro, Tyranitar, Metagross, and Magnezone are obviously OHKO'd by Grass Knot/Focus Blast/Flamethrower respectively. I'd invest in an Infernape counter. A solid counter to this guy is hard to find, but Tentacruel works above all. It also helps you kill stall.

    For a second I thought this thread was just going to drift away without getting a single rate ;___;

Looks weak on paper, yet I've had no troubles with them thus far.

I might go with this seeing as I am lacking speed and a well played NP MixApe could plow through.

Besides I've never found the opportunity to even use Rest to be honest, but Sleep Talk has come in handy against Spore Breloom and Hypnosis Yanmega.

A concern though is that it's movepool is too shallow and i'm a little afraid that if I go with the Scarf set that Kingdra will beat Zone out even more easily because it tends to be less bulky.

    Isnt 3 rest talkers a little....much ? <:
    I don't like status?

For Zone's case I didn't know what else to go with. I can't use Screens because apparently Tyranitar breaks them.

I dislike Brick Break on ResTalk Tyranitar honestly.

Don't knock it till you've tried it.

It has come in extraordinarily handy for me up to this point. Common Double screeners include: Azelf/ Cresselia/ Rotom and Bronzong, the former 3 of which Tyranitar can switch in with the upmost impunity, and stop them cold preventing set ups for sweepers.

The ladder though I can't take all on that well, I may use a Sassy nature to diminish Gyro Ball's power against, though most sets are Hypnosis/ SR/ LS/ Reflect anyway.

I personally like Curse on it, since it makes a fool out of things like Heatran/Zapdos (the latter CAN Pressure stall you out, however).
It's a waste of time IMO, it's too easily stopped, more so with all the Machamp running around lately.

Still, the team is pretty solid, and hard to crack. Foe stall can pose a huge problem, with no reliable way to stop Toxic Spikes.
No one but Slowbro fears Toxic Spikes, everyone else is immune or can just Rest it off.

Yea it has been brought up before and I only now see the severity of it.

I'd invest in an Infernape counter. A solid counter to this guy is hard to find, but Tentacruel works above all. It also helps you kill stall.
Tentacruel is such a horribly overrated poke though =/

I may use Starmie > Slowbro, well in retrospect using Starmie means I don't need to use Scarf Zone anymore and no one is affected by Toxic Spikes.

Though I will be losing a good switch in to Machamp tough and to a lesser extent Salamence, I'll also lose cool points for dropping Slowbro and replacing it with boring old Starmie.

    Thanks for your input guys!

    Adding Starmie > Slowbro.

Just a heads up, on Hariyama, you put it's nature as Impish, but say that it reduces spatk and raises atk.
I beleive the nature you're looking for is adamant.

Also, Force Palm won't really Paralyze anything. It sounds good on paper, but a 3/10 chance doesn't really work as well in the field.
Might I reccomend Close Combat or Vital throw instead?
    Just my two cents.

30% Chance is quite a bit when it gets several uses. Hey, it works for Body Slam on Snorlax. Close Combat is pointless as it drops the Defences of a slow RestTalker, which means death. :D Vital Throw may always hits, but it always goes last and you only gain 10 BP. Force Palm is the best option in this case. If only it got Mach Punch...:(

In the same regard, it may prove useful to run Discharge on Magnezone. If it Para's a faster target, you will undoubtedly outspeed them, and it can ruin Heatrans that think switching in on HP Fire will be funny. Your choice.

    Fixed Hariyama's nature.

Going with Vaporeon > Starmie now, seeing as I lost to Crocune and Petaya Empoleon, Wish support would also be nice to Metagross and slow Hariyama.

Glaring issues thus far are with Salamence and Swampert though.

One idea to help out with Mence- I usually find that Protect on Vappy isn't used most of the time. You could opt for Ice Beam over it. That only helps with DDMence though(not including Yache). Mixmence is a pretty big issue here. Maybe a revenge killer in here somewhere would be nice, although it doesn't fit in with bulky offensive.
