I'm debating whether I should restart my 2017 Alpha Sapphire file or not. I am not very far into the game, but I don't want to lose any of my friends and their codes. What should I do?

6th Gen Restarting old save files-should I?

Your friends list doesn't disappear if you restart your game! The friends list is tied to your 3DS friends list so it will transfer over. If you're not attached to your save file and don't have anything in the game you'd want to keep around, then I recommend just starting over tbh... ORAS are really fun. =)
