Review 4.0 (Feliz Navidad)

This Rest on Forry is working wonders! I love it over SR, although I still might get Donphan, as I like priority kills with Ice Shard, & Roaring seems great to me.

EDIT:Alright, that's it! I'm getting a Donphan. I REALLY want Roar back on my tream, what with these bastarn Pokemon setting up all the time.

But which is better on him? Roar or Rest? I love reusing my wall with Rest, but the chance of giving up one of my favorite things to do with Noctowl-which was Hazing- is too painful.

go with roar then. besides, rest isn't the best for donphan. it's more of a defensive missionary than a recovering wall.

Ah, thanks.

I spoke with Aragornbird. He recommended this set that I am interested in.

Flygon@Choice Scarf***Yoshi
Nature:Naughty
EV:252 ATK, 120 SP.ATK, 136 SPD
EQ
Draco Meteor
Fire Blast
U-Turn

I really like the way this set looks. Is it sound?

& Will switching Forry for Donny hurt my team? I mean, it doesn't lose much Defensive-wise. & My Grumpig & Gyarados can handle almost any Ice attack thrown, so I don't see a major downside in using Donphan.

well it does make it easier for vile and vire (esp vile) to go for a sweep. explosion resist is always a benefit as well. and forretress isn't as afraid of ghosts as donphan.

but on the other side of it, ice shard is kewl =D give him a try and see how it works for ya. you should probably keep safe with the evs tho. max hp and def, that is.

and yah, the flygon set looks good. i run a very similar set, but it's not scarfed.

I made some edit's to my team. I think I did very good here, & I finally found a working Flygon set. I decided to keep Forry, however, I might run Dark Azelf's set, involving Shed Shell & Stealth Rock over EQ.

Why?

Well, I ran into a trainer who uses Magnezone. he had almost trapped Forry twice, & I escaped from close calls. The first time, I was switching Forry out at the same time he was switching Zone in. It was a lucky break on my part. The second time, I predicted that he would switch his Gyarados for Zone, so I used EQ.

But I can't rely on luck alone. If I lose EQ, I will have a harder time stopping Electrivire with just Gyro Ball alone, but losing Gyro Ball means a lose of Aerodactyl stopping. But I may lose EQ anyway.

Is Shed Shell a one-time use item?

I find scouting for Magnezone much funner and then killing it with Dugtrio :P

But about forry's EVs, you need more defense. You'll want to exceed 400 or so. If you don't give it enough Def, some REALLY hard hits (CBtar's Stone Edge for example) will hurt a little too much.

But what about Shed Skin? I hope it's not like Focus Sash-one use, it's gone.

I'll check up on his EV's.

Yes! This is great news. I hoope it ain't hard to find.

So, on my to do list, I must bve Forry more DEF, give Flygon more SP.ATK (he's still running the 252 ATK, 100 SP.ATK, 156 SPD spread that I've yet to fix).

Forry has 24 DEF IV's, & 164 DEF ev's, making it 386 stats in DEF. I'll increase that later.

No its not like a focus sash, you can switch in and out from Magnezone at will. its a great item IMO.

Eh, most teams with Maggy these days usually pack something with knock off. Those that don't are easy, but with shed shell gone you get TORCHED. Eh, then again, I really hate that item so I should shut up now...

I'm not concerned on that. The most a Mag is gonna knock off is someone's Leftovers. My team uses that alot. Damn Leftovers.
