Richard Steel's Battle Stadium

Sorry about that. My internet must suck today. Dunno why... eh, sucks. I guess tomorrow will have to be another day.
And Kazaam, the secret to my Spiritomb... I actually gave it out in one thread, but I won't repeat it anymore. I know underneath that curiosity is the thought that maybe, in a distant world, I hacked it's stats in some ways.

But you are right... no un-boosted attack will OHKO him without a critical hit. I actually think it was OHKOed by a non-critical hit move once, but I forget what it was. I believe they just got lucky with damage calculations, because my Spiritomb can usually survive even a STAB Draco Meteor, but barely. Enough to Pain Split the crap out of them.

Anyway, in lieu of my sucky internet, I am done with battles. Perhaps later tonight I'll try again, but doubtful.

Try to get on before my shower, And I have to go to school tommorrow. Lucky me.[/COLOR]

I haven't the least thought in my mind that you cheated. It's just that I want to get one myself but I can never decide on what to ev train it in. Yours just looks like it's awesome.

Well, just follow the basics of EV training a wall...

1.) Focus on HP first. HP is more important than the defenses in most cases.
2.) Decide what defense you want to train (if both defenses are equal). If for a dual wall, then the EVs can be split up between both defenses, and a nature could be used to give one of the defenses a slight boost.

Anywho, I should be available for a few battles, but I'm spent as all hell. So I'm not sure how tough of an opponent I'll be. :-/

Oh, great!
Rematch me? Please?

Well Richard, I'm training a counter to your Spiritomb as we speak so sometime this week, be ready to fight it.

Never mind, I can't battle now.

Oh, that's too bad. Maybe some other time, then!

And Kazaam, in the long run, Spiritomb can't be 100% countered, since it has no real weakness. There is, however, a loophole to the Ghost/Dark typing... but I'll wait to see if you pick up on it.

Richard, I'd like to battle, I haven't gone up against anyone in a while so....one question, though, do all basic clauses include the no same item clause?

I was thinking more along the lines of making a stab, curse, normal type move be able to affect it. Oh and the support of a healing move. I probably just gave it away.(think real hard and you might guess what pokemon XD)

Is it: Scrappy plus Fighting Move?

I think it is...don't wanna give it away, it's in the spoiler tag.
Spoiler:

There;s only one slightly common Pokemon that fits that criteria; Blissey's evil twin, Miltank. But beware... Miltank's Special Defense is surprisingly low; so much so that it's not wise to overestimate it. In fact, it slightly cowers against Spiritomb's base Special Attack.

Itachi - you're right!

Anti Pop Culture - I think Foresight only prevents the opponent from increasing evasion?

And sorry I wasn't around, I really don't feel up to battles tonight; I feel like ass, to put it lightly. But tomorrow I'll be open to more, methinks.

Well, I have decided to make a whole team of them, just so that people can see how much diversity they have.

Yeah, but I tried it on Phoebe's sableye back in the R/S days, and then I landed a brick break with machoke that was supereffective...unless the game I got on ebay was hacked or something...

Hmm? I mean use forsight, and then you can use fighting attacks which strike dark/ghost types supereffectively. Still, nobody uses foresight, so it doesn't matter.

I still don't think Foresight does that, though. As far as I know, it only 1.) stops the foe from increasing evasiveness, and 2.) resets the foe's evasion. So it's kind of like a counter to Double Team/Minimize, but I don't think it allows you to hit Ghost/Darks with Fighting moves.

I could be wrong, though.

Which is exactly why nobody uses foresight, not like anybody ever did.

EDIT: It does allow you to hit ghosts, or I'm 99% sure. There have been a lot of changes between gens, so this might have changed.
