Richard Steel's Battle Stadium

I know and that's why I did investigate and found out that donphan can learn ice shard and i believe I said sorry.

I know. It's okay. I'm just pointing it out. Cause we fought alot.

I honestly don't get mad after a battle, if you look right at the end of the battle I told richard how good of a battle it was, but then he started saying hax this and cheap that so I started to argue impulsively. I don't get mad after a battle only when I think someone is a cheater or I get called lucky for winning or sumphin like that.

But... you were lucky. Hax and Yanmega (granted no Sleep Clause at the time) won you the game. Nothing wrong with it, I've won plenty of battles through luck. But I don't let myself climb on Cloud 9 when it happens and say, "Man... am I good or what?" No, I say, "Man... you got really unlucky with that one, bud."

And it was a good battle, don't get me wrong. Would have been a better battle (even if I ended up losing) without hax and Yanmega. Hax just spoils the fun you could have. Yanmega also spoiled it in this case. So yes, I'm calling you lucky, because you were lucky. And that's not an insult, so there's no reason to defend yourself.

This topic is now over, so let's forget about it.

Okie dokie?

So do you hate Yanmega because of Hypnosis? I want to battle you but I'm currently using a Yanmega but it doesn't have Hypnosis.

Let's forget about it after one little thing, your saying it was one against six. I believe I used six pokemon in that battle just the same as you. I just had a better choice of pokes. That's all I'm sayin.

That's how it was originally... but now I'm to the point where I just dislike it because it's named "Yanmega". With Sleep Clause on, I can handle it, though. Like I said, unless you get lucky with a boat load of misses, it's impossible to deal with it without Sleep Clause. But I don't want to turn this into a "bash Yanmega" thread.

... "last word freak". ^^

Actually, yanmega without sleep clause IS cheap. There's no skill involved and I don't see how anybody can argue otherwise. It's because of fast pokemon using sleep moves that we have sleep clause in the first place. How boring would pokemon battle be if everyone has a yanmega using hypnosis and then pokemon battle become all about luck as to whether hypnosis hit or miss, or if pokemon stay asleep for 5 turns or just 2 turns. That would be chaos.

That said I still beat ooka both times we battled by his rules :P it was not pretty though and I swore i never want to battle without sleep clause again against a yanmega.

I really don't like you now. You were doing the same thing with your blastoise. Also how come you guys are saying yanmega is cheap and yet I hear nothing about breloom. The thing that makes yanmega so fair is it's horrible sleep accuracy and yet people battle with brelooms with spore all the time and no one says a thing.

Actually Dugtrio is currently in my party right now...

Also Breloom is kinda slow when compared to Yanmega and it gets killed pretty fast

That's lame. haha

But I'll try my best either way!

Let me have a few minutes to get my team together, and I'll meetcha on WiFi.

EDIT:

DBsummit, are you Jimmy?

Oop, doesn't matter now, cause I'm battling Jimmy. XD

Good battle, Richard. I noticed I have a huge Gengar weakness. At least half of my pokemon don't have any moves that can even damage him.

And dammit you predicted my trickery this time.

Wow, dude... that was seriously one of the best battles I've ever had. I don't think there were any real hax that made a difference. You crit hit Gengar, but it would have KOed him either way. Great battle! I love knowing Metagross will survive a hit, like against Starmie. And nice trying to pull a fast one and bring out Dugtrio ;)... but that thing seriously has some LOW Defense... Claydol's Earthquake almost OHKOed him. That's pretty bad. XD

But thanks for a great battle!

Oh and btw I didn't know poison wasn't effective against ground XD

I guess I learned something

Hey, me neither. For a second I was expecting it to be super effective against his Psychic typing. But then it did squat. haha, and the only reason I used Earthquake against Duggy was so you'd switch thinking I'd use it again... and BAM, Breloom gets nailed with Ice Beam. Didn't matter anyway, because he got his poison healing, the bastard. But still, it felt good! haha

The end was iffy for me... Starmie could have wiped out most of my team, and Breloom or Aipomb (whatever that monkey thing is) knock out Blissey, so I had to let Gengar take a fall to bring Metagross out unharmed. Because he couldn't survive two Surfs, that I was positive of.

We'll have to have a rematch one of these days!
I'll be looking forward to it.

well let's see. 1)blastoise isn't exactly the fastest pokemon so one can take it out before it makes a move. 2)yawn takes a turn to take into effect and if you switch, voila, no sleep

so no, that's not the same thing as using hypnosis on the fastest pokemon in the game(after speed boost). breloom was the reason for sleep clause in 3rd gen, as was smeargle(which you never see anymore) since they were the fastest spore users.. but yanmega blow those two out of the water..er grass really. seriously though, it doesn't take a genius to figure it out. yanmega can put every single pokemon to sleep before they even have a chance to do anything.

Not to mention whatever item is standard on Yanmega (Wide Lense? I forget), it makes the accuracy of Hypnosis virtually 100%. And Yanmega is pretty bulky also... DBsummit's Yanny took a Thunderbolt from Starmie, and it also takes Thunderpunches from Metagross without a KO (happened before). I'd like to see Breloom or Ninjask survive hits from the likes of them.

But either way, c_dog, thanks for the support, however could we all just drop it? I love a nice heated debate, but I'd like to get my thread back on track.
