    I accidentally left it in my pants pocket and washed them, only to find out later that my PokeWalker broke!

    That was my favorite part about SoulSilver! :[ I only had it for about 2 weeks before it had its premature death. RIP!

    Anyone else lose/break their PokeWalker? share your stories :[

    And a little off topic, but is there any way to buy a new PokeWalker? Or did I have to use the one specifically given to me?
     
    I left mine in my student center a few weeks after I got the game and it was gone when I came back a few hours later. :c
     
    My Pokewalker still works fine although I did have to replace the battery at one stage - haven't yet put it in the wash or anything, although I have heard stories of it surviving being submerged in water... so I'd suggest if you haven't yet taking it apart and drying as much as you can and letting it sit for a while before trying to make it work, and/or replacing the battery if you have a spare (if you don't and it costs a fair amount try getting a new one).

    Speaking of which, you can buy one... if you live in the US anyways - I don't know about other countries though, you'd have to google it and if it's not available on the nintendo shop you'd have to try ebay or the like. You can resynch any Pokewalker to your game though easily enough - just only one at a time.
     
    My Pokéwalker's battery is dry, so I can't use it. Plus, I don't know how to open the thing up.

    Oh interesting. Didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up, though! I'll consider buying a new one, I tried putting a battery in and it didn't work, and I'm assuming the battery wasn't dead.

    When I'm at home chilling, I wear a T-shirt and panties and I attach the Pokewalker to my panties. This has led to numerous occasions on which I have dropped it accidentally into the toilet. It still works, though.

    i am planning on buying heartgold but im wondering, should i buy it used? or new with the pokewalker? is it worth the extra $10?

    Back when it first came out it definitely was. I brought it to school and EVERYONE who played any Pokemon game had it. It was a nice conversation starter tbh xD

    Now, I would decide if YOU want it. Will you wear it a lot? It's not worth it if you don't wear it. If you do, however, its a great new element to Pokemon gameplay and I wish they expanded it. I don't know how well it would blow over, but if they added to it and made it act more like a Pokedex while still being a Pokewalker, I wouldn't mind paying maybe an extra $20 for it. Just me, though. I've always wanted a full Pokemon experience :P
     
    didn't this story already exist once before. I could've remember it has. Well I left my in the drawer to rust.
     
    I've used mine like...one time. lol However, I forgot which PokeWalker is which (Jap and Eng) so I just don't wanna bother and end up getting them mixed up. Should have labeled them. I haven't broken or lost them though, luckily.
     
    I always get REALLY annoyed with my Pokewalker. And the benefits don't really add up to much unless you wanna walk 100 miles to unlock all the courses. But I still have mine.. I only use it to see my Pokes in black and white colors xD
     
    Mine suffered the exact same fate... last month :( I was heartbroken..
     
    i have two though only one game. (the first game -which was in a dsi- was left in a clothing store, in a mall! it was no more than a month old and the dsi no more than a year :( ) i have them both synced up to the same game, so i get double the watts when i go out :). whats really dead is my latios, being in the pokewalker at the time. reseting it was painful

    Well, I mean, this is a common thing. Leaving it in a pants pocket? I wouldn't be surprised if it happened to many people haha.

    I thought I lost my DS in a mall once as well! Fortunately it was hidden in my car, but it was a scary thought haha. But that's why I never put anything rare onto my PokeWalker, always some Pokemon I didn't care about so if I had to reset I wouldn't lose anything xD
