    Hey!

    What is the relantionship between you and your in-game rivals?

    You like them or you hate them?
    Who was your favorite and least favorite rival?
    They are just annoying, or a part of the game you like?
    Do you have any funny/epic stories with them?
    How do you named them? Why?
    If you could anything about the rivals so far (Gen I-IV), what would it be?

    You like them or you hate them?
    -I actually liked them, except for Pearl. That yellow head yelling and running all over was really annoying.

    Who was your favorite and least favorite rival?
    -My favorite was Silver. The way he acts really makes me think we are rivals and in a competition. Every time I see him I'm like "Yeah, c'mon!" xD My least favorite, like I said before, is Pearl.

    They are just annoying, or a part of the game you like?
    -I like the role they play (even Pearl). It gives you someone with mixed pokemon types to fight with, and they're, most of the times, the only trainer who can give you problems. Besides Gym Leaders, of course.

    Do you have any funny/epic stories with them?
    -One day, on the old Gold, I got a Chikorita (the same my rival had) and leveled it up to Lv50. I knew where the last battle with him would be, so I named that Meganium the same name as him, and used it to give him the final blow. Yeah, that hurts xD

    How do you named them? Why?
    -Since DPPt, I always left the generic name (Blue, Silver, Sapphire...). Diamond I named him Matt (because I though his hair looked like that blond guy from Digimon) and on HeartGold I named him Sawyer (after James "Sawyer" Ford, my 3th favorite LOST character). On Platinum (which I just get a few hours ago) I changed Matt's name to Ben (2nd favorite character) and my B/W rival will be Desmond. For obvious reasons ^^
    If you could anything about the rivals so far (Gen I-IV), what would it be?
    -I would make them individuals. One thing that really sucks is that they always get the same team no matter if you have a Dialga or a Blastoise. One cool thing would be a total Random generator, keeping away Legendaries but making him possible to have any pokemon between Level X and Y. Would be sick!

    I like the rivals cuz it gives you even more of a reason to get a good team.I really enjoy battling them but even more..working together with them.
    Who was your favorite and least favorite rival?
    My favorite is Blue from RBY/FRLG because he's the utlimate rival, you both start off as neighboors,then you receive your Pokemon at the exact same time, and he becomes an obstacle,then finally hes the only thing stopping you from being the best trainer in the game.My least favorite is the rival in RSE..i mean..come on..

    When i beat LG and when the rival ran out of the PKMN League all upset me and my friend who had FR burts into laughter
    How do you named them? Why?
    For the Kanto games i always name the rival Blue because that's what his original name is,and in the Johto games i name him Silver,but for the Hoenn and Sinnoh games i always name myself Gold and my Rival Silver or Blue because i don't care for the other names
    If you could anything about the rivals so far (Gen I-IV), what would it be?
    Carry on the tradition of the rival being the champion,and make him more of a rival and less of a friend,a good combo would be like Gary and Paul from the anime mixed into one

    I don't hate them, but they do give me a challenge every once in a while.

    My favorite rival would be Barry/Pearl. I like his hyperactive personality. My least favorite rival would be Wally (he's too nice for the rival role) as well as Brendan/May (you don't get to see their starter in their final form)

    They're just part of a game I like.
    Do you have any funny/epic stories with them?
    In HG/SS, I always seem to OHKO/2HKO every single one of the rival's Pokemon, due to mine being overleveled compared to his.
    How do you named them? Why?
    I named the D/P/Pt. rival after Jaden once because he looks like Jaden Yuki from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. In HG I also named the rival after Yusei (after Yusei Fudo from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's) for no reason. In SS, I called him Silver because it matches the game.
    If you could anything about the rivals so far (Gen I-IV), what would it be?
    For Wally: make him more competitive. For May/Brendan: after you battle them in Lilycove City and you earn the last badge, they'll challenge you one last time, with a fully evolved starter.
     
    You like them or you hate them?
    I don't like the direction that they're taking them as being your childhood friend. I prefer my rivals like Silver, with an actual spine.

    Favorite: Silver. Least favorite: D/P/Pt rival.

    In the older games (and their respective remakes) they were an interesting part of the storyline. Starting in R/S, they became a major nuisance.

    Only that they've hardly ever put up a fight against me :P
    How do you named them? Why?
    I just give them generic boys' names (Tony, Jimmy, etc.) because I'm not that creative.

    Enough with the "childhood friends" theme. I want to see an in-game rival who holds a serious grudge and is out for your blood. Him being out on parole would be a good start.

    They're nice to have, I suppose.

    I love Silver and Cheren (if he's a rival, lol), but I can't stand Brendan and May. Pointless.

    Jun is annoying as crap and May makes me puke because she's so shy. Silver and Blue are the only ones I look forward to battling.

    Do you have any funny/epic stories with them?
    I like to talk to Silver constantly while he's looking in Elm's lab. 8D He can push me all he wants to.

    Named Blue ONIONS because it's the best name. Named Silver either ???, Sexy, or just Silver. Named him ASS and Octopus once though. Can't name Brendan and May. :< Named Jun Syrup and named myself Waffle once...I name him Im Gay now. lollolol

    If you could change anything about the rivals so far (Gen I-IV), what would it be?
    Like LeSabre said, I want a rival with a grudge. That's what I don't like about Brendan/May and Jun. Just...no. You're too nice. Hate me! Kill me! Throw knives at me! Something worthwhile!
     
    You like them or you hate them?
    I like rivals. Gary for being such a memetic character who is always not one but two steps ahead of you (I don't care if his name in reality is Blue or not, I call him Gary. Deal with it.), the others for mostly being some easy Exp except for usually one really hard battle, like Silver (who also has a quite awesome character) in Ecruteak (although Azalea can be quite hard as well sometimes), May south of Mauville or that hyperactive guy with the forgettable name before the Elite 4. And there they are a good team strength testing device, since much harder bosses (Morty, Wattson, Sinnoh Elite 4) are not far at that point.

    Who was your favorite and least favorite rival?
    Favorite rival is gary, as explained above, least favorite is May, apart from that one battle she isn't really worth being called a rival.

    Part of the game.

    Do you have any funny/epic stories with them?
    When during a Nuzlocke run my by far oldest team and most favorite member, Fearow, died against Gary's Blastoise by a crit Blizzard OHKO.

    How do you named them? Why?
    Either normal names like Gary or Silver or, if I feel like it, not-so-very-nice things.

    If you could anything about the rivals so far (Gen I-IV), what would it be?
    The grudge thing discussed above sounds like a good idea. A rival who doesn't attack you for competetive reasons or to annoy you but because he really hates your guts. Like a more extreme version of Silver.

    Favorite: Has to be Silver, he's just so... epic
    Least Favorite: Has to be May/Brendan, they just don't play as big a role in the storyline as the others.

    I like them, especially Silver, cuz he's like a more challenging version of a Grunt.
    All of them give you slightly more of a challenge than the average trainer, and they are good if you need a few finishing touches on your training before a gym.

    Not really

    I once named my Rival Stefan cuz he's like my Rival in real life sorta. I battle with him alot.
    If you could anything about the rivals so far (Gen I-IV), what would it be?
    Somehow have them form their teams around ALL of your pokes (not just the starter)
